After playing Bioshock 2, I'm extremely hesitant as to what they're planning on delivering with this game. I am aware it's suppose to be set in a completely different universe than 1 and 2, but after a wonderful first game, it sort of tanked when the second one came around (blame it on the viral marketing done for it. Holy shit.).
Not getting my hopes too high for this one, which isn't to say I won't play it; Elizabeth seems too deus ex machina for my tastes. It looks fantastic so far, especially the new abilities but Irrational has failed in the game before it...
Other than that, the October Game Informer covers were nice

Not very much. Which is a shame because 2 and Minerva's Den (the weird little add on plot they released recently) had some concepts that would have been amazing if they actually implemented, carried them out and/or further.
Spoiler:
It didn't live up to the hype, which, I guess is the same with many games.
With 2 they took a weak gimmick from game one, becoming a Big Daddy and having/protecting a little sister, and thought that would be enough change to carry on a game. You're still a dude who wields plasmids and can save, kill, or do nothing about the sisters, and has to beat the "corrupt" mastermind of a bad-guy.
Plot wise, while it was interesting to learn about "pre-Rapture" it seemed too hastily patched together and left a lot out, especially when connecting it to the first game's plot. Basically A+B equaled fish at times, interesting characters were lost seemingly with a "just because" excuse.
Multiplayer was a good addition to the game, at least for those that do play online and have Live/what have you. But for those of us that don't, it was kind of a useless addition.
Tagged because of complaint purposes. No one likes reading those, right?
We'll see about Infinite as more information is released. It's still early, and they're rebooting everything.
