The first issue of this mini was kick-ass. Perhaps the best thing to come out of Avengers: Initiative--and perhaps, Siege--is here with a debut solo dish, and Fred Van Lente serves it in a most customary fashion.

Now, you can't tell me those new Japanese/B-Movie inspired villains aren't the comic's highlight. Thankfully the rest of the parts--characteristic, artistic, potential, and otherwise--are just up to par. It's always taking a risk when jumping on a mini, particular with the extended price, but this one walks away a winner.

I highly enjoyed it.

I thought this was ok. I dont understand why everybody is slurping this book.

I like Van Lente and Palo and the character, but the waitress almost seems force and nonsensical. eh, like a solid 3.8.

It was alright, the pacing seemed a bit odd. But it has potential.

#2 was good. Nice twist at the end.

I'm really excited to see where this book is going. Hopefully this mini wont be the last we see of Taskmaster.

#3 was another fun, off-the-rails story with a great reveal at the end.

Quite a bittersweet ending.

^^ Yeah it was, I've always had a strange affection for Taskmaster and this mini did nothing but reafirm that, but they really turned Tasky into one of the most tragic characters going today.

Anywhoo, absolutely loved the whole of the series, they did a whole lot of character work on Taskmaster and a ton of nice origin work, like I said, I wish this was an ongoing or better yet Van Lente penning an Agency X book.

I absolutely loved this mini, and I almost always hate Van Lentes writing. Take that however you will.

Yeah I loved how the ending tempered a lot of the silliness of this mini. It was very good.
