Thanks, guys. I get like this from time to time, particularly when my birthday's right around the corner (tomorrow, I age even further). I can't explain it; it's probably a mix of getting older and not having been laid in a looooooooooooooooooooooooong time.

I've actually dislocated it once before,(skateboarding) and my dad popped it back in. He gave me a shot o' whiskey and told me to bite my wallet, lol. And yes, I cried both times. Woo! Yesterday was a good day! It was my family's Thanksgiving feast (because my mom and stepdad like to be out on the deer lease on the actual day, and that way we're not fighting in-laws to have everyone there), and it was the first time in probably six years that we were all able to be there together. (Well, according to my mom -- I distinctly recall everyone being there last year.) I got to spend some quality uncle time with my nieces and nephews (which range in age from 2 to 17). I also got my first 'for you, Uncle Doug' picture from one of my nieces! It was a nice picture of me out on my mom's backyard swing. And nothing makes you feel appreciated like being hugged good-bye by your nieces. Little girls give the warmest hugs (and gosh, doesn't that sound creepy?).
And, to top it all off, I got to come home with the leftovers of my mom's dressing, which is just about the best in the whole damned world. (But, I'm biased.)
I know I sound like a dork, but really good days like that with my family are very rare.

I understand the not having a good day with your family. I'm glad you were able to have a good "holiday" with them.
I'm gonna go order our dinner for Thanksgiving. I'm being lazy this year and not going to brine a turkey for 24 hours, peel pounds of potatoes, and make deserts that no one will eat.

THE MOTHERFUCKERS AT DC HAVE BANNED ME FOR THREE MONTHS. 
I know exactly why, too. I had a run-in with another poster (I was actually very nice -- AT FIRST), and he manipulated my post in his response to make it look like I was agreeing with him, and when I called him on it, he edited his post to make it look like I was attacking him without provocation. So, I've earned a nice 90 day ban for his troll efforts.
I get banned, but other far more insidious and hateful people are allowed to rampage unchecked.

I had a run-in with another poster (I was actually very nice -- AT FIRST), and he manipulated my post in his response to make it look like I was agreeing with him, and when I called him on it, he edited his post to make it look like I was attacking him without provocation. I have no idea. I know that I was actually enjoying the boards for the first time in a really long time, and it sucks that I was the target in this particular instance, considering some of the absolutely hateful things that have been said recently from still-active posters.

such is life....the good get trampled...while evil is allowed, sometimes encouraged to continue to be the ones trampling.
