Pretty sure that it's different for everybody. Which explains facial structure: prominent cheek bones, dimples (which are missing muscle tissues), etc. Don't really know. Look it up. I'm lazy. Heh.

The amount of muscles and nerves will be the same for everyone, or it should be... the face is innervated by two main nerves, trigeminal (5) and facial (7). 5 is in charge of mastication, chewing, and takes care o$ those muscles. 7 is in charge of facial expressions and the sense of taste on the anterior two thirds of your tongue. There is another nerve, glossopharyngeal (9), that is in charge of taste for the posterior one third and is also in charge of swallowing.

There are three nerves in charge of moving your eyes, occulomotor (2), trochlear (4), And abducen (6). One nerve in charge of seeing, optic (3), one in charge of smelling , olfactory (1), one in charge of moving the tongue, hypoglossal (12). There is one nerve responsible for speech, vague (10), and one to move the muscles in the neck, spinal accessory (11).

So there are 12 cranial nerves. I believe there are 25ish muscles in the face... fun fact there are also 33 spinal nerves....

I know there must be a lot, because I was told that I had a lot of nerve showing my face in various places.
