The Lone Ranger

After being in talks for a while, looks as if this is going to happen. Jerry Bruckheimer will produce, Gore Verbinski will direct and Johnny Depp is starring as Tonto. Disney will be putting this out.

Thoughts?

Could they reboot the Lone Ranger franchise and make it as popular as the Pirates franchise?

Why would they get Depp as a native american character? I find that insulting as what they did in Wolverine Origins with Wolvie's girlfriend.

It's Depp, I am sure he can pull it off.

That's gone on since the dawn of time. That doesn't bother me. i just don't see Depp as Tonto.
