Killzone 2 I didn't like so much. The story is really weird and hard to follow. I didn't like the single player weapons. They were not that accurate to me. I heard the multiplayer was pretty good though. I never checked it out.
Resistance 1 was pretty good. The guns have a uniqueness to them. It was made by Insomniac who are the same people who made the ratchet and clank games. They love to make fun toys to kill things with. I never played Resistance 2. I heard mixed reviews.
If you are looking for a multiplayer game for the ps3 it would be warhawk. It is only online multiplayer. There are vehicles and planes.
It would almost seem weird if they brought Halo and Gears over to the ps3. If they did they could make it extremely good looking. Blu Rays can hold a heck of alot of data (bigger and better textures, audio, ect) but, they have a trade off. They have a slow transfer rate. That is why most ps3 games have loading before you play it. It is just the first time you play the game. It store highly used files on your hard drive. Movies really dont have this problem because, it is at the perfect transfer speed to watch a movie. I would love to see those games come over. But, they would end up being xbox 360 ports and would just look the 360 versions. Alot of companies do that because, it is just cheap to do. Sometimes at the cost of frame work. Like last years Madden for example. They made it originally on the 360 and ported it over to the ps3. The problem that came with that is the xbox version ran at 60 fps and the ps3 ran at 30 fps. Slower frames per second means it is not as smooth animation. Which is sort of the ps3's fault. It is a real pain to program for the ps3. Actually all the playstations had that problem. From what I remember they sort of did that on purpose. I can't remember why.

Ok, let me rephrase my last question, does it make sense to purchase another console or will I be disappointed? Yes, it has a blu-ray, but the price for those are crazy in my opinion and hate knowing I would be rebuying movies or games I've already played.
