Inglorious Basterds

Brad Pitt is fucken hilarious... so is Eli Roth as the Bear Jew. I cant give much detail because it would give some plots away and I know some of you cant wait to talk about this movie and praise it or rip it apart.

I loved it. Possibly because of the suspence in the middle of the film. And its true Tarantino fashion of a long overdragged dialogue. But to me it was just mad funny. Very quotable.

"I want me some Natzi's scalp!"

^ Ya, I heard that that was the only complaint and rolled my eyes, because that is everyone's complaint about Tarantino films. Someone disliked Pulp Fiction because of the burger talk between Jules and Vincent was too stupid. That scene had the most charm, with that hitmen are just everyday people.

Anyways, when you were talking about suspense, I totally felt that. The bar/basement scene was fuckin' great.

"Donny, this man wants to die for his country. Why don't you come out here and oblige him."

I'm probably watching IB tonight and D9 next weekend. I'm doing reviews on both for Blank, the local newspaper I write for. And no, we're not technically online yet, but we will be soon.

IB comes out on DVD/Blu-ray 12/15!
That was freakin fast.

Same day as The Hangover.

They do come out faster and faster, whether they've done badly or have done well.

I hope I get this one for X-mas. I really loved this movie and I didn't think that I would.

I didn't really care for this movie. It's a good movie, the dialogue is great and this movie had me at the edge of my seat. Especially when COL Lanza was on the screen, he is the most delightful villain to watch in recent memory. However this movie was too disjointed. Tarintino had two great stories and did some sort of mash up that I didn't think turn out so well. His Basterds story just highlights how cool they were and reinforces it by having them kill Nazis. There was no depth to them, I can see how some critics have called this vengeance porn for the Jewish. Shoshannah's story had a lot going for it and wished they did more. I also must say Diane Kruger was great.

My friend reenacted The Ditch scene from IB with Legos...it is really cool.
