Old School Toys

What was your favorite toy(s) growing up or what toys from yesteryear do you dig? Me, I loved the Super Powers toyline growing up. They're the only toys I kept from my childhood.

Although all my other toys were thrown out over the years (thanks mom and dad!), I managed to keep my action figures. GI Joe, He-Man, any Marvel/DC figures, and WWF & WCW figures were my faves...

I gave my Joes to my cousin's son and my cousin's husband tossed them a few years later.

Lincoln Logs and Legos were my main favorite toys, but we had a ton of the Fisher Price Little People playsets around for a long time, since my sister was five years younger, and those were always fun to have for regular citizens in my Hot Wheels sandbox towns.

I really gotta post some pics of my action figures collection someday.

It's not as cool or as complete as all the modern stuff you kids buy, but it's a solid quirky collection.

Kenner's Aliens and Predator lines replaced He-Man and Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles when I was 11. These were my top 5 toys from the line:

I've got a red wooden one that's been autographed by Weird Al Yankovic. It was all I had on me when I met him. Couldn't use it anymore after that -- the "permanent" ink was not-so-"permanent" -- so I put it back in the box & shrined it off.

legos, TMNT's, Batman, but my all time fav toys as a kid, Swamp Thing... I had three different ones that i can remember... a dark green one with an extending hand (was a pull string), a bright green glow in the dark one, and a green and brown one that changed to all brown when heat was applied.

Oh wow! I didn't know there was a Creeper toy other than the one from the Batman: TAS line.

Yes they could!

All these toys? I had them and many, many more characters. Plus the different outfits for the Turtles. I think that original TMNT and Earthworm Jim were the closest I've ever come to a complete collection. I remember I just needed Earthworm Jim glow-in-the-dark costume and I would have had them all. For TMNT, a literally just a few figures and most of the vehicles/playsets.

I went through the Ninja Turtle phase.
Hot Wheels didnt help any either.

I can't say it's my favorite old skool toy but I really miss it... the Snoopy Sno-Cone Maker!

Mine was our He-Man collection. Between 2 of my brothers, we had almost every single figure ever produced (not counting the mail away ones) and most of the vehicles. It got to the point where we would set up the figures to play with them and then it would be time to put them away.

It wasn't my favorite toy, but I have fond memories of Lite-Brite:
