I just started reading it myself and I'm hooked. Trying to decide whether or not to eBay the hardcovers or just get them @ the LCS.

Just read these for the first time:

Batman & Son

Batman: The Black Glove

Both were awesome. I liked Batman & Son maybe a slip better because it's a little more straight forward, and despite being a "little" confusing, The Black Glove chase through that island with all those oldschool superheroes was pretty thrilling, as was the last chapter involving Wayne's hallucination during the takeover of Gotham Policeman dressed as scary-looking Batman freaks.

I plan on buying Batman: R.I.P. tomorrow at my LCS to finish. I hear there's no need to purchase/read the "Resurrection of Ra'as Al Ghul." Is this correct? Or did I miss something major jumping right to Black Glove?

No, it was pretty much editorially mandated into Grant's run. It really has nothing to do with RIP

I own Avengers: Disassembled, but see a hardcover trade covering all Iron Man, Captain America and Thor Disassembled mini's. Should you read those tie-in's first or the Avengers one?

I'm eternally grateful to everyone over at wumb for recommending getting started with those trades. I've only read the first 2 so far but man I love them. As someone said to me over there - don't get too attached to the characters.

Just finished up a load of books.

Ultimate Spider-Man: Volume 1: Power and Responsibility and Volume 3: Double Trouble are up first. I loved both books and the updated look of the Green Goblin (Doc Ock wasn't half bad either!). Grade: 10/10.

Also finished Wolverine: Noirand found it to be intriguing, yet a bit too short. The artwork was great. Grade: 8/10

Secret Warriors: Vol.1 was cool as well and it's nice to see Fury again. Grade: 8/10

Now for this next mini-review, I have to say that I am no fan of Andy Diggle, who single handedly ruined the Swamp Thing series. So I approached Thunderbolts: Burning Down the House with caution. My fears were right as I found this storyline to be a bit boring. Even the bits with the Green Goblin were a bit dissapointing. Grade: 2/10

I bought volumes one and two of the JMS Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Collection today. The only JMS ASM stuff I've read before is the Morlun stuff. I liked it, didn't love it, but liked it. I don't like the idea of the spider totem stuff, but whatever, I still want to read this stuff.

Just finished Spider-Man: Kraven's Last Hunt. I loved the artwork and the whole Kraven going crazy thing. Grade: 10/10

Also finished Dark Avengers: Assemble. Loved it too, but the standout scene has to be where Osborn talks to the Sentry about the Void. It has to be the best dialouge I have ever read in a comic. Grade: 8/10

Just read JLA Earth 2 in one shot. Great stuff. I enjoyed it a lot. Could have been longer, but still good.

And I'm waiting for 'E Is For Extinction' I never read New X-men but I trust the team of Morrison & Quitely so yeah.

I also got Birds Of Prey: Dead of Winter for Secret Six, Vision: Today & Tomorrow (by Geoff Johns) which is why I bought it (and I like Vision), Identity Disc because Deadpool is in it and I got Marvel Teamup: Freedom Ring by Kirkman.

Great all-ages read. definitely can't go wrong at that price.

I just read The Incredible Hulk : Abominable. This was back when Bruce Jones was still on the book. Interesting story with threads that you can see as inspiration for the most recent Hulk movie. I really enjoyed it. As a bonus the Mike Deodato Jr. art is absolutely beautiful. He is one of my favorite artists. I give this a solid B+.
