It really is pretty good. #210 was another good issue. I was thinking about this and I really don't know how I'd describe this comic. It certainly doesn't feel like anything else out there. There's never really a lot of action in it or if there is it usually seems secondary. I sort of think X-Factor at it's heart is really a super powered soap opera but so quirkily written that it's just really enjoyable with characters that have real personalities.

#211 was a good fight issue, and I loved Thor's entrance, but man that ending kinda sucks. It's not even really a cliffhanger, IMO. It just kind of stops. I turned the page expecting more story, only to see next issue's cover. (Which is awesome, btw.) Other than that it was great.

Considering I was just in Vegas for five days this issue didn't have a whole lot of "Vegas" to it...nonetheless, even at his worst, David's X-Factor is still worth the price of admission.

I must say, I feel like X-Factor is floundering. I love the roster and I like Peter David but I'm over this Hela storyline and nothing seems to be building anymore with this title. I wish it was a little bit better.

Do something with Shatterstar and Longshot? Aren't they still possibly related? Why not do a Mojoverse storyline? I feel like David would do really well with that. And more with Monet's crazy family. The best thing going on right now is the Rahne/Rictor/Shatterstar love triangle. I don't know what to say about Layla Miller. Who/what is she again?

thanks for posting that!
Very interesting stuff

Why can't he use the St. Croix family in the book? That's strange.
Looking forward to see what happens with Rahne's baby. Is it going to be a fake-out like Siryn's?

Good stuff.

Got to say I'm loving Lupacchino's art on this book. I think he's the best artist X-Factor's had for a while. Hope he's staying on board for some time to come.

Yup, back from overseas holiday!

Most of all I like that this book is different from most other of Marvel's books. There's not really anything like it and that includes Peter David's quirky tone to the book.

# 212 was a great end to this arc. Madrox's use of Darwin against Hela was nothing short of brilliant, but it looks like it'll have some consequences...

Now that Shatterstar knows the truth about the baby, will Richtor believe him? Looks as if Darwin will be leaving the team in the next issue, but I have a feeling that just because he is leaving the team he is not leaving the book, the look in his eyes shows very clearly that he is going to probly be someone they will have to deal with eventually.

Peter David continues to prove why this is the only book with an X on it worth reading.

I think you're spot on about Darwin. It looks like he's been negatively affected by counteracting Hela's power. Although the arc is over I think there's definitely more to come out of it.

Interesting characters, the stories are always good and now the art has really picked up. I couldn't be happier with this book right now.

#213 was excellent. I love PAD's "quiet" issues, and this was no exception. Pip joining XFI should prove interesting, and the interaction between him and M was priceless.

I want to know who Pip is working for and next issue looks extremly impressive with Darwin wearing a stetson, bnecause stetsons are cool.

In this book nothing ever seems to happen without a reason. The whole Pip storyline seems to have been a set up to get him on the team. Very interesting.

Just as an aside, the whole time I've been reading Marvel comics (25 years or more) I've pronounced Rahne's name - Rarn - but am I to take it from the Longshot gag in this issue that her name is actually pronounced Rain? Because it's a little rough learning that I've been mispronouncing something for 2 and a half decades!

#214 was pretty intriguing. It shows PAD's strengths as a writer to be able to take a character who's never had the spotlight before and not only have him be the only familiar character in the issue, but make it a damn good one as well. Some really funny dialogue as well. The bit about Apocalypse especially.

It was interesting, wasn't it? Good stuff. Some bad portents for the future with Rahne's child.

And I am really liking Lupacchino's art.
