I quite enjoyed issue #2. The Flounder gag was my favorite part. The Steelbeak fack-out was cool as well.

I loved when the guy they had the retirement party for knew that Darkwing was a hero.

Launchpad's entrance was great.

Negaduck as the one in charge of Quackwerks does seem too obvious, but I still wouldn't count it out. It would really make sense given Quackerjack's reaction to him even being mentioned.

Good ish. Didn't enjoy the guard flamingos gag, dont know why, just didn't. The art is warming up to me more this time. I hope Taurus Bulba is the head of Quakwerks it'd be far better then if Negaduck was the head.

Not a bad issue, but I don't see myself continuing to buy this. It's just not a must-read

I'm wondering how many kids are actually reading darkwing or if mostly people in their 20's and 30's who remember the show?

Yeah, I wonder that as well. I have a weird feeling that this book won't last too long. It's a cool thing for fans of the show, but I just do not see them being able to keep people reading for an extended period of time.

Well, I'd argue the popular Uncle Scrooge comic was probably more for older people so if DW can pull that audience, it should be fine.

#3 continued the awesome. It looks like Negaduck isn't Drake Mallard in his home reality like I had always assumed. The Gizmoduck reference and the cameo by Gadget were superb. The end reveal was great, and I can already hear Tim Curry delivering the lines in my head.

So, what's in that "Top Secret" box? My first thought was the Gizmoduck armor, but that seems too obvious. Thoughts?

Darkwing Duck #3

Part of me had been wondering if I should drop this book. I've been enjoying it, but I thought "do I really need it?". Well, this issue answered the question. I LOVED this issue. It's my favorite so far.

The Rescue Rangers/Gadget bit was my favorite. It was hilarious. I also loved the hero popularity contest.

I'm glad we finally got some Negaduck. He's my favorite DW villain.

The reveal at the end was nice.

I'm not sure what's in the box. I am very curious though.

Read ish 3 today, fave one so far. Love how it went in better detail about why DD went and retired. Didnt like the Gadget of Rescue Rangers cameo, it was funny but their universe is too far from DD continuity imho. Also for the reveal @ the end; I Knew it!!!!!

#4 was fantastic. I'm loving how it's tying in to other Disney stuff. Great ending as well.

Darkwing Duck #4

This was great.

As far as I'm concerned, the more cameos and appearances from other Disney properties the better. Having Scrooge McDuck appear was beyond awesome.

It's funny, every time I get ready to read an issue of this book I wonder if I really need to be reading this and if I should drop it, and by the time I'm done I loved it so much I realize I shouldn't even think of dropping it, and yet, I still think about it by the time the next issue comes out.

#5 was great, as per usual. This is quickly shaping up to be my favorite current ongoing series.

Loved #6. It was cool how some of the alternate Darkwings were easter eggs. Quivering Quack & Darkwarrior Duck were obvious, but I almost missed Arachno-Duck. There are just so many cool visual gags on that one page: the flying monkey Darkwings, the Mr. Fantastic Darkwing, the Batman Darkwing, the TIE Fighter-esque Thunderquack, Silver Surfer Darkwing, and Darkwings that look like Fozzie Bear, Wall-E and Tinkerbell.

Of course, Bowling Ball Darkwing trumps them all.

#7 was fantastic, as usual. Some great fight scenes, too. I liked the villain reveal, and the cameos on the last page made me laugh.

No surprise, I loved #8. Great character moments, a good wrap-up to the arc, seeds planted for later, and tons of easter eggs. What's not to love?

Great issue but something's bugging me, who the hell is Paddy-Whack? Was he a major villain in the cartoon?
