I did 100% best to not have many of current-generation games that would pile above the classics I grew up on.

10. Pokemon - currently on Soul Silver... but just the series in general appeals to both my desire to level up and my desire to collect things.

9. Super Mario 3 - Heck yeah... Thank you Wii Virtual Console for bringing this game back to me.

8. Marvel vs. Capcom 2 - loved the arcade version and played the heck out of my copy for PS2 as well.

7. Raiden - Not sure which number or if that even matters... but that's possibly the greatest standing arcade game series of all time. I just hate playing it two-player cause then you have to fight over the power-ups.

6. Neverwinter Nights II - The original was great too. Haven't had any luck with the expansions (I've bought both, but they always freeze up on me). Gotta love such a direct interpretation of D&D.

5. Lineage II - As far as MMOs go... this is the best I've found. I enjoy it even without the much needed social aspect that supports most MMOs. And before you ask, yes I've played WoW... and yes, I hated it.

4. Age of Empires II - I've logged a lot of hour on those random maps.

3. Star Wars Galaxies - pre-combat upgrade. I played the heck out of that game from its initial release. The social aspect was great, the Star Wars feel was great... ... then they went and "upgraded" it and everybody left. Without the social aspect, the guild, and all my friends... it became just another Star Wars Game.

2. Final Fantasy X (with a mention of X-2 for fun) - really enjoyed the story and the characters on this one. And the ending may or may not have caused me to shed a tear or two.

1. Final Fantasy VIII - Honestly, this one may just edge out FFX because it was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played. It was also the game that turned me into a "gamer." Just really connected with the main character at that time in my life.

10. Mortal Kombat series- I played the hell out of this in the arcade and on home consoles as a kid. I can't even count how much money I put into this series.

9. Left 4 Dead series- One of the best and most violent zombie games I have ever played. This game will have you feeling like you really are being chased and hounded by the undead. The action never lets up. Throw in some great characters and you have a masterpiece.

8. WarCraft series- My first foray into RTS games was with WarCraft 2. I spent many hours playing this and building new maps. WarCraft 3's story blew my mind. I never played World of WarCraft. Not my cup of tea.

7. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic I and II- This was my first crack at an RPG game and I was not dissappointed. I bought the firt KoTOR when I was in Iraq and played the hell out of it any chance I could get. When I got back stateside, I bought the sequel and was hooked all over again.

6. X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance series- These games were amazing for all comic book geeks. The stories were well crafted and the pletheora of characters you could use were astounding. Great action game with a hint of RPG thrown in.

5. Star Wars Battle Front series- By far one of the coolest and most immersive 3rd person shooters I have ever played. The sequal added space battles to the mix which were awesome.

4. Diablo series- People think the addictive nature of WoW is bad. Well, Diablo 1 and 2 started the addictive RPG/hack and slash genre. I would do Baal runs on D2 until my eyes bled just in the hopes of finding the elite unique Herald of Zakarum shield.

3. Call of Duty series- This first time I played COD1, I was astounded by the volume of fire that the computer AI was throwing at me. It was the first FPS game that I had played where I felt they really captured the essence and chaos of war.

2. StarCraft- In my mind, this is the king of all RTS games. Proof? Its practically the South Korean national sport.

1. Street Fighter 2- This is the game that started it all for me. Just like Mortal Kombat emptied my wallet, so did Street Fighter 2 and its many incarnations. This game never gets old to me. I could not play this game for 3 years, come back turn it on and still have fun doing shoryukens and hadokens.

ill make a list later, but my number 1, which has held that spot for a while, and wont likely ever be bumped is...drum roll please...legend of zelda: a link to the past. still have my original cartidge from way back, not sure how many hours have been put into it. great game, soundtrack, everything was great, some of tha backtracking got a lil dull here and there, but fantastic game. and i def would put x-men legends/ultimate alliance series in there somewhere, what they did for me and other fanboys/fangirls cant be put into words.

I've always wanted to play Shadow of the Colossus and Ico. Heavenly Sword is your numero uno? That's cool. I really, really liked that game. Easily one of the few I was going to put honorable mention towards.
