I still maintain that Denis Miller was never funny. He played the role of the snarky dick well, but it was nothing that people had not thought of or done before. David Spade was better at that role than Miller was. And that's saying something. Some of his Rant books were ok, but most of it seemed like him trying to prove how much smarter he was than everyone else by using an obscene amount of verbiage. I say he's OK at best. But that's just me....

That was on my list as well, although for opposite reasons. I find most of Brown's self-serving navel-gazing mini comics obnoxious and poorly done and frankly I've always felt like the changebots series was just snickering at people that legitimately like that kind of thing.

He's one of the guys (like Frank Miller) who got his switch flipped on 9/11 and turned into a "glass parking lot, nuke all the muzzies no mercy" kind of douche, and thus isn't funny anymore.

Hey there, Fly aficionados! Boy do we have an interesting offer here! In this month's Previews catalog IDW has a new Godzilla series written by Eric Powell & they have quite the incentive deal going on.

With that in mind, we're offering our own incentives: if you commit to 10 copies (at cover price of $3.99 mind you - file customer and student/military discounts still apply) then you'll also receive FREE the 1:10 Eric Powell variant cover (normally $14.99). If you put down for 50, you'll get the 1:50 HAND-DRAWN ERIC POWELL SKETCH VARIANT FREE, plus five copies of the 1:10 (and of course permanent bragging rights).

BUT REMEMBER, if we can't pull together enough commitment from our customers this won't happen. I find Alan Moore complaining that Marvel (Marvelman) and DC (Green Lantern, Watchmen) are rehashing his previous work extremely funny when one of the only books he's still putting out is The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

I'm looking forward to Flashpoint. It looks interesting. It seems to me that this is going to be all orchestrated by the Reverse Flash because if you saw the issue where we get his backstory, he actually changes his history so I see him doing that on a larger DC scale. Could be interesting.

Two things.

First, Faith got a last name in 2005. Joss gave her Lehane as a surname when Eden Studios asked about it for their Buffy RPG.

Second, I can't believe everyone forgot that both Ghost Riders, Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch, have been showing up in the "Wolverine Goes to Hell" arc. Especially since all the recent GR stuff was by Jason Aaron!
