Actually, I did get a convention hook up. I was wandering around Friday and went past Doug Jones' table just as he was getting there and settling in. There wasn't a line yet, so I snuck up, introduced myself and shook his hand (dude has a long handshake too, not like creepy-let-go-of-me long, more like it's-so-good-to-see-you-again long). So I mention that I loved him in FF2 as the Silver Surfer as did my uncle who worked on the book for 9 years. We shot the shit on the Surfer, Stan Lee, and other comics stuff for a good ten minutes. I saw a line was forming so I went to leave and he gave me a free autograph (not even sure if he was charging for those or not). Of the 5 celebs I got to talk to (Lori Petty, Ray Park, The Defuser, Ernie Hudson, and Doug Jones), he was easily the nicest one of the bunch (which was a tough call because aside from Lori, they were all super nice people)
