I just read the latest Amazing Spider-Man issue, yeah I know blasphemy, and well it was good - if not great. It FELT like an issue of Spider-Man. It had humor, it had action, it had Osborn on Parker on Jameson family verbal sparring/showdown. Hell, Kelly even made the whole "single Spidey" thing... seem almost natural without cramming the BND debacle down my throat like a prison-style porcupine deepthroat. There was no running out of webbing gags or any other ridiculousness. I forsee this "American Son" arc to be the first TPB of a non-ultimate spidey book I EVER buy.
Everything I'm gushing about isn't even hinging on the shocking ending or the twisted Norman and Harry dealings, it just feels good.
And that scares me.
