C2E2 2011 Badges

I have the photoshop originality talent of a moose, meaning I have none, but I do know that many members of the Pop!ulation indeed have them. Who wants to make badges? Gem? Knize? Potato?

I will work on something, but it's up to everyone else to get their badges made.

I'll design them to be vertical, like all of Reed's passes, so it should just clip on to your lanyard.

AWESOME! While I fail on ps originality, I succeed in playing with layers. giggity

If enough people show interest, I can print and laminate the badges for free. It would be up to the individual to create and then email me the finished product. I could then distribute them on the Friday of the show.

That would actually be pretty awesome. I can mock them up for everyone if you would print and laminate. How would the punch out for the hook for the lanyard work out?

Figure the punch hole would be roughly 3/16" - 1/4" from the top. The laminating pouch I'd use would allow for the hole to not interfere with the artwork in any way.

What are the dimensions you are using for the badge.

I was going to make it the same size as the Reed badges, which in the past have been 4" high by 3" wide.

Yeah....I live in Chicago, but won't be checking into the hotel until Friday.

Will you be at the PoP! Family Feud Panel? That might be the easiest way for everyone to be in the same place at once and get these distributed.

I can do that...or even before hand.

Beforehand would be cool, but I highly doubt we'd be able to get everyone in one place at one time to make it happen, yknow?

Hey Shanhain, I may see some of these guys before the panel, what part of Chicago do you live at? I can probly meet up with you and get the badges and deliver them to them before the panel.

Cool....I'll let you spread the word and can we shoot for some sort of deadline....just so I have time to print and laminate.

Haven't seen a lot of movement on this, I figure people get busy. This is something I have been playing around with.

I like it....simple and to the point. I also see kind of an "Old West" type of theme to it. Knize is throwing something together, but I'm not sure how far he's gotten. Either way, as stated earlier in the thread.....I'll print and laminate the badges so they all have a uniform look.
