^ Don't they all?

I practice kung-fu. Five animals, five elements. Made it thru' Iron Body to green belt, & so now at this point it usually takes about a year to advance to the next level.

Personally, I really dig "Poison Hands." Esp. the story behind it. evil

My dad was really into martial arts, it's sort of in my bloodline. My grandfather and great grandfather were boxing champs (Navy and professionally, respectfully). My dad picked up boxing from his dad. Dad went into the Army and became a Green Beret, learning hand-to-hand there, but also studied Kung-Fu (from what I was told, it was actually a Kung-Fu passed down through family so it had no formal name) under a fellow soldier. He went on to study under Stephen Hayes in Ninjutsu while he lived in California. Growing up, he taught me a lot of stuff he learned, though I mostly took to weapon use. Katana, Bo, Sai, Kama, Nunchaku, Shogi, Tonfa, Crossbow, Blowgun, Shuriken, Knives, Manriki, Emei Piercer, Eskrima Sticks, Balisong, etc, I loved it all. The sword was my favorite, probably why I got like two dozen now. I took some Shotokan Karate as a kid, but I really didn't take to it. Instead, I gravitated towards taking bits and pieces of other arts, like nerve strikes from Dim Mak and Kyushojutsu, grappling from Aikido and Chin Na, and whatever other stuff I could get like Muay Thai and Kung Fu. I use to get into a lot of fights as a kid, but I really haven't been in a fight in like fifteen years so I don't even know if I remember how to fight. Laughing

You know, the guy who played Tommy on Power Rangers studies Chuck Norris' martial art. Maybe some speck of Norris passed on to him? Laughing

As a younging I learned some horrible Karate. As a teen, I was into Ken-Po, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu(before it was cool.) I've competed in submission wrestling.

Perhaps due to Ong-Bak, people have been really getting into Muay Thai. Heck, I've been coming around. I'm really starting to see the art as one of the deadlier forms. Funny fact: watched the anime History's Strongest Disciple Kenichi and thought it was funny they put Muay Thai on such a pedestal, showing the practicioner having trouble sparring because he's so use to death matches. Hey, this Fall I'm going to start a martial arts club at my school. Going to train my officers this Summer to prepare. I figured we'd start with wrestling, then boxing, then kickboxing, and go into different eastern techniques.

I picked up Shorin-Ryu Karate from my dad and brother, along with some moves from the Marine Corps martial arts training system. I used to spar with some friends and picked up a little Kickboxing and Tae-Kwon Do. I've never actually taken classes, just training with friends and family and experience from dealing with assholes.

I do really wanna pick something up when I get a job, though. I've been thinking of picking up Muay Thai, as there's a really good local gym out here that's co-owned by Bill Goldberg. I'd also really like to join my friends in Epee Fencing. If I could find a school out here I'd really love to learn Kali or Eskrima. First thing I need to do though is get a job, and go to yoga - My legs aren't as flexible as I'd like them to be.

Muay Thai is a very good art. I understand many mixed martial artists have begun adding it to their routines however I think elbow strikes have been banned in MMA because they're just too powerful.
