I am stupidly excited about this. I can not wait for just a fun trip out of town.

Me and the Ms are working 2nd jobs to pay for this! Can't wait!

What did you guys put in for?

We submitted a request for a panel. We're hopeful, but won't hear anything until February.

Foxy are you confirmed to be there? I spoke to Mike Champion over the weekend and he told me something about a waiting list. Did you hear the same thing?

This is the last email I got from them.

" Hi Kristin,

Thank you for registering for the 1st C2E2 Artist Alley!

Due to a large number of applications, we are still reviewing registrations. We are honored to have so many talented artists interested in making history with us.

In order to properly go through everyone's information and maximize the space and gain the widest range of artists possible, we are pushing the notification date to October 30th.

I know that this is an inconvenience and appreciate you waiting patiently. Artists that are accepted will have until November 30th to send in their payment and contract. All remaining artists will be placed on the waiting list. Please note that some artists on the waiting list will be offered a table.

Again, sorry for the delay. You will hear back from me again on October 30th. Please let me know if you have any questions.

We were supposed to find out the first week of October. The wait is killing me. Reed is quite well known in the artist world for being extremely picky about who they let into AA, changing seating at the last minute and bumping people completely after confirmation for a high profile name.

I really really really hope they give me a table. I've had my stomach in knots since the beginning of the month.

Bah, trying to find a second job to save up some money!!! I went to a job fair today at school. There was an opening for a part time assistant manager at Maurice's, but it's a 45 minute commute, screw that. I applied at Express too, but I don't think that's going to work out for me. Lame.

Amanda's brother (who was supposed to meet us there) knocked his woman up and wont be able to meet us there. It's looking like we might be able to make it and if we do we'll have an extra bed if any POPers need a place to stay

Well, to those who want to see me (or anyone, really) set up at C2E2, you can always call or email them and say you want me there as a guest. If there's a demand for a certain artist convention organizers usually perk up their ears.

Done. I emailed Brian Stephenson. With Reed really trying to befriend Chicago and Chicago artists during the run-up to C2E2, it'd certainly behoove them to have some Chicago-based artists in AA.

I know a few people who work with Reed. At the next Reed Happy Hour I'll be dropping your name as well as Mike Champion's name to anyone who will hear me.

Those shots of you in costume are great!!! I think we will definitely call on you to cosplay Spider-Man. Sunday of C2E2, so April 18th, we will have Kids Day at the show so we might call want to talk to you about doing photo ops with the kids. I will get back to you within the month about some opportunities and you can let me know if you are interested.
