Missed Opportunities

Until something rare like the next story happens to me, I'm doing nothing to make a move...

Today at work there was this nice lady who must've been 30 or in early 30s. She works at a subsidiary company of the one I work for (it's a big corporation with many divisions and subsidiaries) and came for a meeting. As part of my job I'm responsible of reception work in some capacity. This woman came for a meeting and had to wait for awhile because the person who invited her didn't take care of the permit, but I handled this and eventually she mad it in no time. Anyway, we had a small conversation and she was very nice, and I think she flirted with me. Like I said, it happens to me so rarely that I wasn't sure about this. Maybe she was married or taken; perhaps I was just too shy, or insecure or too strict with my professionalism. Nah, must be the first two... I know her name and now kinda obsessed with it all because I'm not sure if something really happened there.

Maybe I'll keep looking for her like a good stalker or just hope I bump into her again. Maybe both. Sigh...

Knize started a net-wide manhunt in an attempt to be endearing but ultimately people ruined it by either calling HIM a stalker or just completely unnecessarily speaking ill of the girl in the picture (Thank you, Mikey) Eventually, Knize destroyed the evidence of the search, but, hopefully, someday their paths will cross again.

For future instances what you should do is instead of just asking people if they know her, say you need to get in touch with her so you could get information from her to use for the video. That way it sounds completely professional and on the up and up.

Maybe someone was already stalking her and when he saw you scouring the internet for her he figured he'd never be given a better chance to skin her and frame it on someone else. Maybe New Chris knew what he was doing when he sat down next to us. It was all a ploy for an opportunity to get some of your DNA and place it at the crime scene.

It does sound a lot like Knize's story, but I know the girl's full name. And where she works. And I'm not going to make it a public stalkery manhunt. Just showing my frustrations because I can't afford a shrink.

After finding out about the search, I bet she canceled her Internet connection and moved to an Amish community.

I'm kidding. You should definitely try and contact her again. Try and see her midday, or around lunch. Gives you an excuse to linger and chat. Also, I've read that people are more suggestable during lunch because that's when everyone's body and mind are at their peaks with being fully alert, chemicals coursing smoothly, and people are at their most gleeful, I guess I'll say. So, less of a chance of running into a bad mood, sleepiness, or other.

Never listened to that advice. Hence the crazies, which show you they're crazy on a later date. How come...I'm an okay guy, why do the crazies want to go all insane on me. *sigh* (That wasn't a joke, but feel free to laugh. )

Ah, no, she doesn't work around here. Like I said, she's from a subsidiary company, but their offices are in another city. She only been at my workplace for a meeting. My only real chance of seeing her again (without "chasing" her) is when she has another meeting and it'll be my shift...

I guess do what Josh said and try to look up her info through job?

That's what I was thinking. I have access to almost any info in the company... okay, I'm starting to sound like Knize again.
