^^ Yup. It was a Stanley Kubrick project, but Kubrick felt that his involvement could only go so far, and decided that he'd produce it & get Spielberg in to direct. When Kubrick died, Spielberg completed the project and released it. It had so much promise, but I hated that film.

Didn't know it was a Kubrick project at first. I really enjoyed A.I. I thought it was great how Spielberg was back into his scifi zone again. Then he made Minority Report and gave us a lackluster and pretty unneeded War of the Worlds remake.
