'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the palace
Not a Gamorrean was stirring, well not with any malice;
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that old Yoda soon would be there;

The hunters were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of their next bounties danced in their heads;
And Jabba on his throne, and I in his lap,
Had just settled down for an after party nap,
When out on the Dune Sea there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the throne to see what was the matter.
Over the Rancor grate I jumped with a flutter,
Careful not to wake Oola, then tore open the shutters.

The moons on the breast of the golden sand
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects at hand,
When, what to my wondering eyes would I spy,
But a speeder-sleigh, being pulled by eight ghost Jedi,
With a little old driver, so lively and older,
I knew in a moment it must be Master Yoda.

More rapid than TIE fighters his Jedi they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;
"Now, K'krukh! now, Windu! now, Secura and Unduli!
On, Galia! on Offee! on, Mundi and Kenobi!
To the top of the palace! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!"

As dry root-leaves that before the wild sandstorm fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky,
So up to the palace-top the Jedi-spirits they flew,
With the sleigh full of toys, and Master Yoda too.
And then I heard on the roof of the home of the Hutt
The prancing and pawing of each Jedi's foot.

As I was turning around, with a throat full of lump
Down the chimney Master Yoda came with a Force jump.
He was dressed in Jedi robes, from his head to his hands,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and sand;
A bundle of toys he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a jawa just opening his pack.

His eyes -- how they twinkled! To me they were fixed!
His thoughts now lightyears away from Order Sixty-Six!
His mouth was drawn up like a wookiee crossbow,
And the glow of his saber as bright as Hoth snow;
A gimer stick he held tight in his claw,
He looked as green as the jungles on Yavin Four;

With an old wise face and two pointy ears,
He looked old enough to be almost 900 years.
He was short and comical, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself;
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
A Jedi mind trick told me I had nothing to dread;

He spoke not a word, but went on with due course,
And filled all the stockings; just by using the Force,
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose;
He sprang to his speeder, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like a proton missile.
But I heard him exclaim, as he sped out of sight,

"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good-night."
