The Venture Bros.





In my opinion this is the best show on television. As someone who grew up on all the classic adventure shows Hanna-Barbera, Sunbow and DiC put out back in the day I really love the lampooning of those classics the show does. They have it down to a T the only difference is that the writing is actually clever. I also really like the concept of throwing familiar characters in the background of the stories to concrete it in your mind that if not for legal reasons Brock would work for G.I.JOE, Dr.Venture would have slept with Sue Storm and rents an apartment out to Dr.Strange and so on. One last thing for right now, I thoroughly enjoy the portrayal of the villians. There are so many more things I could say about this show but I want to leave some things for others to talk about.

I need to get the friggin season 3 DVDs already.

I was at WalMart the other day but they didn't have it. I think I've seen most of the episodes, but I still want the DVD for my set.

When will these characters be making an appearance in plastic?

I was late in getting into this show, but I caught most of all three seasons in the past year (thank you, DVR) and I love them so much I'll probably get the DVDs eventually. I like that it's not just a collection of gags and non-sequiters like so many other AS shows, but actually has an over-arching storyline and a rich cast of characters. That, and it's funny as hell. Great show!

Series three will probably never be shown on tv over here after they ended the uk version of adult swim.

Dvd might make it here when i'm 30

Picked up season 3 yesterday. I love this show, it's absolutely brilliant, and it only seems to get better with age. Let's face it, season one wasn't all that great, but then came season two, which was utterly fantastic, especially with episodes like "Escape to The House of Mummies, Part 2" and then season three, with still more improvements.

I just wish all of Adult Swim's original content was of this caliber.

Received season three for Easter. Starting watching it, little disappointed in the commentary tracks thus far, they go off on tangents and never really make it back. LOVED season two and I think three was okay but it really slowed down, imho. S2 was hilarious while S3 just sort of built on the mythology, which is cool for fans but I don't think was too new viewer friendly. I really only remember laughing during the last two episodes of S3.

Finally got season 3. Damn good times. I love the design of the packaging.
