Comic Critics for a comic about comics... there was one strip they did about David Hayter's response to the general public's opinion of the Watchmen movie. I linked it to my friend who hated the voice of Snake's pretension, but had never even read comics before (I tried to show him some - he couldn't wrap his head around which way the word bubbles were supposed to go). He laughed.

If you're into underground-ish ska/punk music, I can recommend 21 Dead Monkeys - they seemingly go six months between posts these days, but damnit they're funny. If you understand the topics they talk about.

That's why I could never get all the way into Penny Arcade... I don't play NEARLY enough video games to understand what the eff they're talking about 3/4 of the time. Them pictures sure are pretty, though.

This being my very first forum post, I couldn't let it end without shilling for myself a little. Check out the Cavalcade of Whimsy!, drawn by me & co-written by my pal John and I (writing credits vary from strip to strip, but he's a much better writer than I). I'd describe it as an all-around nerd-friendly comic. We're working on getting REAL website... as well as getting more than one strip up every two weeks.

Just caught up on these three. Gulch is insane, High Moon is taking pretty original direction with the werewolf theme (moreso than I expected) and Street Code just keeps on giving situations that you can just get behind feeling/having.

Funny that you posted this Jess, I was reading this just the other day! Very Happy

My favorites are Girls With Slingshots, Questionable Content, Johnny Wander, Nerf This! (which is quickly becoming one of my favorites), Least I Could Do, and I think I've read most of the others listed up here. Woo webcomics!

Girlfuck was pretty tasteful with its descriptions, without sounding condescending with its use of humor. "Here's the butthole." Heh.

Thanks for Johnny Wander, WW. Just finished the first 20. It was hit and miss at times, but I started to pick up the humor after about the tenth strip.

Questionable Content
