Seriously, people. My kids and i got in a fist fight last night over that God forsaken game. Personally i hate it, cuz i KNOW it's going to end in a fight, preceeded by bitching, whining, cheating, thrown pewter objects...GAH!

That said, i love me some Uno.

Yes, because Dane Cook was the first person to observe that Monopoly is too long a game, and many people quit before finishing.

That being said, the games I've finished usually involved me whipping pieces in someone's face, and/or telling them they can "mortgage my ass", or whatever.

Monopoly is only fun for the winner. You're better off playing games like Mousetrap or Sorry!, where financial skill plays no part.

Personally, I like the game of LIFE, but never have anyone to play it with me.

Yeah I've finished a game or two of Monopoly. Mostly we play Sorry, Are you Smarter than a 5th grader?, and Phase 10 at our house.

I love Monopoly... but very few other people I know do. The only version I can get my wife to play with me is X-Men.

It's just such a time commitment... and people should learn never to trade properties with me. I never give them the advantage they think they are getting.

Monopoly doesn't cause problems in my family but a game of Trivial Pursuit.... that shit will turn into a fist fight.

ESPECICALLY if my smart ass other half decides to be a dick and say "So form teams, I'll take you all on by myself."

That led to an argument that almost broke us up. Very Happy

Haha! I still feel lame, but LIFE is relatively quick and I'm good at it. But of course I'd only be good at Life via board game.

Yea, he definitely has the curse of the successful stand-up comedian when it comes to movies.

Plus, the allegations of him copying are pretty unlikely. The guys jokes are just so broad, common-place scenarios; universal. Hence his success. Well, that and the bastards charisma. Heh.

Yep. Fuck Monopoly. It's all about Candy Land for me. (How can you not love a game with a character named "Gramma Nutt" in it? thumbs up )

I would try to play Monopoly with the fam, but either they would wander away at some point, or it would dissolve into a fist fight/wrestling match. I think we might have finished a game, though. Probably only once.
