Did a quick search, didn't see this posted anywhere. I noticed them on the wall during the season finale. Found the close ups...

Those are some awesome covers.

I thought some were pretty funny. I wonder how Miller really would have written The Man of Steel Returns?

It would be interesting. Can you imagine Batman and Superman in role reversals? That would be kind of weird.

I didn't like the Blackest Night Green Arrow/Green Lantern, too close too the origional to me.

They're side by side on that page, and I'm not sure that I get what you're driving at.


That's not a Blackest Night cover. It doesn't have anything to do with BN. It's just a re conceptualization of a classic DC comic cover. It's probably just coincidence that they chose 'Red Lantern' and 'Red Arrow'; two concepts that are fresh in comic readers' minds. However, we are talking about the Alternaverse, where decisions happened differently. In that universe's DC, the PTB just happened to choose Red over Green. The fact that the costumes are nearly identical just ties into the concept that the Alternaverse is nearly identical to ours.

Yeah, that's what i got from it. Either way, i thought the covers were a cool nod to the fans of the show.

Dude. That Blackest Night cover was in honor of this particular cover that was created by Neal Adams. It was the first issue of the classic Green Lantern/Green Arrow series back in the 70's.

Can someone tell me why we keep referring to this GL/GA comic as a 'Blackest Night' cover? IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH BLACKEST NIGHT.

^I believe that Spider_Fan 14 was saying that those GL/GA and RL/RA covers look like the recent Black Lantern Green Arrow issue.
