Didn't see a thread about this series, so I thought I'd open one up.

Any fans here?

I've wanted to try this series for the longest time, but I have yet to get around to doing it.

I plan to actually get around to reading the whole series now that the end is in sight.

I bought the whole series (sans the newest book) at a library sale a few years ago.

This is really a great series. I think I got up to book seven. There is so much that goes on in the progressing story! From what I've seen it's one of those kinds of series that you either love or hate for whatever reason. I'm a fan of Robert Jordan from his Conan books, so I'm a little biased I suppose. From the books I did read I really enjoyed the series!

Huge fan of the series, I used to reread every book prior to the new one getting released, but it's become such a huge undertaking that I've given up on that process and I usually just read the book prior to the new release.

This time around I didn't even get to do that thanks to Brent Weeks and Brandon Sanderson (Same guy finishing up WoT) having new releases, both of which kick major ass if you're into fantasy.

Anywhoo, for those interested in Towers of Midnight, the next book, it comes out in six weeks and here's a preview chapter:

I believe the prologue is available for purchase on E-Readers currently, you have to be pretty darned hardcore to be unable to wait for the whole book, in my opinion anyway.

Tor's supposed to be putting a couple of chapters up on their site here shortly as well.

Can't wait to get my hands on this one though since it looks to focus allot more on Mat, my favorite character.

Finished Towers of Midnight a bit ago. Great read. You could tell there was allot more Brandon Sanderson than Robert Jordan in this one but I'm a huge Sanderson fan these days so I dug it.

Some great surprises along the way along with several events we all knew were coming fairly inevitably thanks to Min's viewings.

It looks like the last book is going to be almost all Tarmon Gaidon which is cool with me. Something as big as the Last Battle and all of the different fronts it's going to cover should take almost a whole book to cover, plus there's going to be a whole lot of back lash that needs going over once it's done from what we saw in this book.

Anyway, anyone else read it yet?

I love the Wheel of Time series!!!! I just started reading in a couple months ago and I'm loving every bit of it.

I'm on The Shadow Rising right now.

Matt is so cool.

Mat is by far one of the greatest characters in literature. You're only on book four? Man do you have some surprises coming. I thought I knew the end to the series around book six, Robert Jordan/ Brandon Sanderson have been punching me in the eye the last three books. Stick with the series, it's incredible.
