Retiring POP! Reads

Response is really low. There were only two votes for this month's book. Is it time to do something new?

I'm a little saddened by the fact that one of the reasons I was so excited to come here was because people were actually reading REAL books, not just comics and graphic novels and that's dying.

I don't know what to put. I know I've been really lame about this and missing things, but I like the book club. My cop out is that I'll go with the flow.

I voted revamp.... I like the book club but to be truthful, it was hard to keep up. Maybe a 4 quarter pop book club. We pick a book and read it for the quarter (3 months)... Allows discussion to fully bloom and people to read... The one month thing felt rushed and sometimes I couldnt get a book till 2 weeks into the month.... but just my idea... if it goes Ill miss it

^ Maybe. Could be too far apart. Bi-monthly? That's a month to get around to buying, borrowing or checking out a book and another month to read it. Plenty of time, but also not that loose.

So, I guess I'll push revamp. Maybe we can figure out a better plan.

instead of voting on the books would it be too much just to have a person in charge of the month or months and have them set a reading list? Say for example you are put in charge so you have to get one book and one graphic novel, or even better we just have people give ideas (like they do now) and we just compile the list for the year. Gives people even more time to acquire the books....
