1. Orthodox strike for their right to control everyone else's way of life.
2. Apparently Judaism supports starving your own little child. When the mother is an orthodox and the general "sinner" media report it one-sided, of course she's innocent.
3. On another case, last month as part of the revelation of judges nominated for supreme court, one religious judge was revealed to be rather controversial. Last year in the end of a trial he judged, an orthodox young man who tried to escape a parking lot without paying, ran over the register lady, an immigrant from Ethiopia. The judge ruled that the man was not guilty because he was nominated for a dayan (judge) role in a beth din (Jewish court) and being guilty will ruing his chances. The victim was also forced to forgive him and the judged ruled that this experience "helped" her become part of the Israeli society. With that, most of the 4-5 officials that nominated this judge pulled their recommendation and this joined to the whole religious/non-religious conflict.
BTW, the same orthodox young man is also facing an older trial for escaping a supermarket with a full cart without paying.
4. With the recent FBI investigation in Brooklyn against a Jewish community for money laundering and other crimes, I can't believe those fanatics still see themselves as the righteous people on Earth and every one else are the bad guys.
5. Well, the proposition of a "big brother" law was put to death earlier this year. Sadly, someone still wants to pass a biometric database law. Whoopie.
6. Add to that the best thing Israeli authorities now want to copy from the Bush administration.
7. Last but not least, "Mofaz law" passes, all thanks to the PM and his lackeys threatening every coalition who want vote or vote for the law. And to think that the man this law is named after actually called against it.
In conclusion, if and when the Iranian nuclear bomb hit us, I will accept it with open arms.
