Favorite Card Games?

My buddies & I mostly like to play MTG, but there are a quite a few other card games
that we enjoy...

For example: "Chez Geek"



What card games are you into? Got any cool stories to share, or "memorable moments?"

I don't play any card games. I haven't played'em in about 10 years, but Marvel OverPower is definitely my fave. I was happy when DC got involved, but that was a really cheap looking series. I got out before they started doing the Monuments thing.

I used to play Magic too, but I always got destroyed by my friends, so it was never very fun for me.

I play a few...hell...who am I kiddin..I play anything you can drink beer during.

I was a big Star Wars CCG player back in junior high and high school. And for a while I was the Thallid King of my high school in Magic. Outside of that, Old Maid?

I once considered trying to develop a card game. The idea is cool but talk about figuring alot of stuff out. Too much work for my brain.

I like the X-rated mini-golf game but then again...I'm a pervert. Pervert's of the world UNITE and then UNTIE the bikini tops oh yea..giggity giggity.

Just think of a card game as a giant choose your own adventure (which are in and of themselves a bitch to write/construct), and it makes it slightly easier.

I play a lot of MTG, I play Pokemon with my kids (the transistion to magic is coming soon for them, thank a god) I play muchkin, my favorite being of the cyber variety. I used to play L5R, but it isn't big in the north west.

Well if you're gonna transition your kids over to Magic, I picked up a big ol' box of random booster packs from some weird walmart clearance thing a while back when they were shuffling around registers to make room for those self checkout lanes.

Anywho, hit me up when you get them into magic and they're yours no charge. I haven't opened them and several of the 2packs of booster cards are in weird carded packaging claiming some kinda rare bonus card include.

Well I'm going to start teaching them this summer. I want to get my daughter involved in the JSS so that she can get some easy schoolarship cash. Kids just can't afford the best cards so her using mine is a bit of an advantage. My son needs to mind more before I would take him to a tournament, but he is definately smart enough to understand a play, just doesn't have the attention span for it. I buy them pokemon cards and they play for like a week and quit until they get more new ones. I guess I'm a sucker, but it gives me an excuse to play pokemon too

Not a card game but i've been hooking my friends on Liar's Dice recently. Actually pretty fun.

Always liked the Nifty Toys...
