Personally I think that the temple others have seperated the selves from Jacob / Jacobs enemy. The leader said something bad about Hurley when he said he was working with Jacob...

So they would want to stop Jacob and Jacobs enemy from doing anything to hurt them by pre emptively killing anyone who might work with them.

So why didn't he kill Hurley right there?

If the same darkness that took over Claire will affect Sayid, more likely it'll be succumbing to the MiB. He's still their enemy. When the Losties brought Sayid to the temple, the Others said something about the water not looking right. My guess? By killing Jacob, the MiB ruined the purity of the water, indirectly preventing the original revival of Sayid, but eventually it did revive and infected him. Jacob checking the water in the last episode may've been him trying to figure what's wrong.

Who likes "Jungle Claire"? I think she'll contribute more to this season than the others. Also, she still looks very cute.

Why, god, WHY didn't Jack and Hurley look at 108 to check whose name was there? Anyone watching a solid HD feed get a cap of it? My vote "Whitmore"

I thought Lighthouse was good. Any episode with a good dose of Hurley is okay in my book.

I thought it was weird that Jack's name (Shepard) on the dial was written differently than the others. It was bigger, and looked a little different. It was probably just so it was easier to read, and I'm 99.9% sure it means absolutely nothing (I'm not one to read too much into stuff in the show because I don't want to go insane), but I thought it was interesting.

The one complaint I have about this season is the serious lack of Desmond. He was barely in season 5 and he's barely been in this season. He's had what? 2 minutes of screen time? I want more of him!!

there would be no need to, the island was destroyed and underwater since the 70's in the one time line

Well yeah. Locke is still in the wheelchair, but he is marrying Peggy Bundy. So far a lot of the main characters seem to be better off.

No it wasn't. The bomb didn't destroy and sink the island, the producers have all but spelled that out for us. For one, the otherville houses are the updated ones, not the 70's dharma originals.

No. Jacob's touch was "directing" Locke to his destiny, the island. He would've survived the fall and remain crippled anyway. As evident by the new reality (though it seems like the circumstances of his life and becoming a handicap are much more different this time).

(The only thing I don't like is the fact that the writer calls it "a Lost spin-off" when it has nothing to do with the show. It's like if Dollhouse was titled Faith.)

Nope. I'm guessing that's his son with Sarah, his ex-wife in the "regular" timeline.

Pretty good episode tonight. Every is definitely coming to a head.
