Sawyer is going to stay because MiB is using him, and is going to trick him into staying, so that MiB can leave (just my guess) Jack is going to stay after Kate dies, and he has nothing for him on the main island.


Also, Knize, you're already convinced you're going to hate the ending, no matter what. Somewhere along the line, you've decided Lost sucks now (Despite being the best thing on TV right now, by a mile) Nothing they do will change that for you.

^ Yeah. I'm not sure it can be saved for Knize. I mean, it's stayed on track. I don't understand the complete disdain.

Anyways, I noticed that the captain of the Blackrock was named Whitfield could very well be a the predecessor of Whitmore. Name changes and tweaks happen all the time in family trees. Mine did.

I'm telling you. I want to like it. I went into the new episode with an open mind.

I do absolutely hate Jacob. That shit is not going to change. Like I said. I preferred him as a junkie wife-beater on Dexter.

I like Jacob. Is it because you keep thinking of him as that character?

Nope...it's that smarmy/sleepy look on his face, and the fact that for 5 seasons, the show was about the Losties, now it's all about fuckhole Jacob.

I also HATE Lockeness Monster. Terry O'Quinn is playing a stunted, cariacatured version of one of the greatest characters in the history of television. Just because MIB LOOKS like Locke, doesn't mean he has to play a "fake" version of Locke.

And the show still feels very much so about the Losties. Jacob and MiB are their final obstacle is all.

It's not Locke...so why is he "acting" like Locke? Especially when everyone knows it's NOT Locke?

Because that's what he does. He mimics the persona and all. Even so, he still seems like a shadow of Locke. And that's damned good acting on O'Quinn's part.

It's really not. It's terrible.

Now, I don't think you're wrong saying Jacob is full of shit, but he's not THE villain; MiB still is. It's the exact thing many people see in God and Satan, that both just play with humanity, but Satan (MiB) is forward about being the true evil while God (Jacob) truly believes his actions - despite the bad results for his pawns - are justified in this eternal game. Jacob wants to prove MiB that humans are internally good while being a dick about it, but MiB himself comes forward and manipulates them into revealing their true evil. Sometimes they'll do it without his intervention (like Ben killing the Dahrma Initiative people and his father). As of this point (the 19th century) MiB got sick of the game and his imprisonment, starting to plan Jacob's murder and his escape to the outside world, making the game brutal and bloodier than ever. Probably Jacob knew his demise was inevitable so he started gathering the candidates.

Except there are a bunch of Jobs running around.

Jacob beat the fuck out of Richard, that was awesome.

I was about to agree with this until I remembered he appeared as Alex to Ben.

Unless he's now stuck because Jacob's dead? And, when he "Alex-ed up", Jacob was still alive...
