Have to agree. I'm picturing all the bitching, but, at least, the trade will sell ridiculously well, so that people can make their opinion of disdain more specific.

I'd dodge it. I honestly don't think I'd care to see where they'd take a story that is done. Most writers would probably feel the same. Unless it is Didio or some noob writer craving work, I see most writers being weary of this commercial move.

to me Watchmen is the greatest graphic novel of all time. I'd love to be known as the guy who destroyed it.

If this thing comes to life, I'm going to boycott DC for the rest of my life and will do everything I can to convince others to do the same. Unfortunately, I can thing of a few people that will be okay with this. The problem is not just them, but like others already said - those who complain but buy anyway.

I'm with you. If they do this I'm just not going to buy anything from a company that has no creative integrity. And I don't want to hear any bullshit from anyone saying they're a company and entitled to earn money as they see fit. That may be true but they are also a company in a creative, ideas driven medium. If they can't show any respect for the work of creators then I'll be done with them.

Of course no use getting worked up about something that mightn't even happen.

Something I was going to mention but didn't. Well put, Lee. It had this if-you-buy-the-trade-you-hold-it's-universe-in-your-hands type feel to it.

As much as I would love to see more of Rorschach, I don't believe it's right.

I'd actually like to see this. It would definitely depend on the writer, but seeing these characters again with a fresh new voice would be interesting.
