You can create any username you wish to. As for the melding of the two boards, I don't think that's possible.

I ended up staying with the same name...most just call me Spaced or that creepy girl over there anyway So is this board going to be shut down then we all migrate to the new board? Or are we going to be posting on both boards...see this is what happens with change...me asking too many questions

These boards are going bye bye. We've been talking about it for weeks. Its a good move for a lot of reasons.

I recommend being more specific. What is it about the new boards you don't like? If starting all over is your biggest issue what exactly does that mean? I mean everyone is starting over, post counts are really just a number and have no real meaning.

1) I don't like having to remake threads Ive made on here over to the new boards
2) Ive made alot and it'll be hard to get them all there
3) I liked having a high post count
4) I dislike this sort of change (gives me bad Wizard Magazine memories)
5) There's less chance of my fave threads being there
6) I hate having to start all over for something new (much like in pokemon games)

This really upsset my morning routine and I really really hate this kind of a change.

1. How many of threads that you have started are active on a daily basis?
2. These forums are being locked, I am sure it is going to be archived
3. It's not about post count but about content.
4. Change is a part of life as far as reminding you about wizard, I really don't understand that. Wizard just got rid of the forums, PoP! has moved them to something that is probly easier for them to manage and maintain
5. Again, regarding your favorite threads...this site will more then likely be archived.
6. That really makes no sense, forums are not a video game.

..If you want a thread to be in the new forums, make it. John Michael (if I fudged your name, sorry!) got the ball rolling last night, a lot of the big threads from here are already there.

Unless they're dicks, everyone here will be migrating so it's really just a change of scenery. The new boards are tied to the site, not through Forumotion so hits for the board are hits for the site now.

No but seriously, I had no idea this was going down! I clearly need to spend more time in the PoP!ulation sections. Anyway, at first I'll probably hate it like I always hate changes to my favorite sites, but then ultimately forget what the old site looked like lol.

I see where Spider_Fan14 is coming from about having to recreate your favorite threads. That is pretty annoying. It takes you out of your comfort zone but I'm sure everyone will get used to it. Post count I really don't care about, but I know a lot of people do so that sucks to lose that. However, I demand to be compensated for my points!

HELLO NEW FORUMS!

I said it before... the last person to post in the "Last" thread in the Abyss wins all the points. They are then to bring their stamped voucher to C2E2 for point redemption. If you can't tell I'm kidding, you need to get to know me better.

Matt - PROMISE YOU - this is all worth it. And the biggest difference between us and Wizard is that they were sloughing off content in an attempt to make a dying medium hemorrhage less money. PoP! is on the rise, and the changes we're making now are in an effort to maximize our efforts. We're still adding content, not taking any away. The new boards WILL require some transition time for people to get used to them, and there are probably a few things we'll have to tweak along the way, but in a month or so, you won't even know the change happened. The old boards WILL be locked, so you'll still be able to find old threads and see your former post count.

Seriously... this is a good thing. Have I ever steered you wrong before? You know... with the exception of that one time in Tunisia. But seriously, who knew that a chicken could handle a switchblade like that?
