Green Lantern

Good God. Years ago, when I could barely see him on Two Guys and a Girl (hey! He shared the screen with Nathan Fillion...I just didn't SEE him somstimes!), I thought he was kind of funny. I think he'll be an awesome Hal Jordan, though.

Personally, I'd like to see Nathan Fillion appear in the movie as Alan Scott. WHO'S WITH ME?

Like I said on another forum, I'm still excited about the movie, but I really fail to see the big deal about Ryan Reynolds.

Agreed. Ryan Reynolds is a funny, likable guy and a serviceable actor, but I don't quite understand why this is such a great "get". Personally, I would have preferred to see him in the role of the Flash.

Wow, second post before someone brought up Fillion. I'd personally like to see Fillion bludgeoned with a baseball bat. Preferably a bat held by, you guessed it, Hugo Weaving.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm just glad they're making a GL movie.

Absolutely. While my response is lukewarm, I still think Reynolds can pull it off. He's definitely got the swagger it takes for the character.

It's weird. I'm more of a Flash fan, and find him more personal to me than a GL, but I'm almost offended they'd choose him as Hal rather than Wally. Even as Barry he might be okay.

Ya, it is. I actually heard the other day while flipping channels that he's been confirmed for Hal, Deadpool is still on, and thick rumors of him still being Flash is up in the air.

By the by, this could change, I think. I think it is a go, but things happen. He definitely won't get Flash if he lands Hal, and vice versa.

lol. Doug, I don't hate him, I hate our people (nerds) thinking he should be in every movie ever made. Scroll through a thread about the casting of any movie, and whether the fit is good or not, ninety people are saying him, with Weaving as the villian. It could be a new Josie and The Pusssy cats movie and people would say those two

I get what you're saying, but I've always thought Fillion belonged in a Green Lantern movie in some capacity. If he can't be Hal Jordan, he can definitely pull off Alan Scott, who should at least show up as a nod to the first Green Lantern.

But I don't think he's right for every part. But for the all-American superhero movie, I think Fillion should be first on most people's lists.

Firefly (Killed by Fox incompetence, not Fillion's acting.)
Serenity (A movie based on Firefly that was completely fan-motivated)
Desperate Housewives (Still going strong after Fillion left after his ELEVEN EPISODES were up.)
Castle (Just picked up for a second season)
