I just got the 2nd printing of Lost Girls in the mail. I'll get around to reading it when I'm freed up.

I'm trying to reach Exiles (1st series) and finish that up with the back-issues I bought. Then New Exiles.

Among the many trades I picked up over the weekend, I am starting with the Penny Arcade ones, picked up the first 5 trades for five bucks each!!!!

I'll never understand the point in buying a trade of a webcomic you can read completely for free on the web. I get the creators using the fame to gain money, promoting shirts and other merchandises, but trades?

The Penny Arcade trades are cool though, he does a one or two sentence commentary on the cartoon from that day and also includes the sketchbook stuff they did at the e3 shows. Also, I read them while in the crapper.

In the last few months, during my PoP! absence, I've actually dropped most of the titles I'd been reading. Not because I don't like them (well, a few I did stop liking) but mostly as a way to save money. We're moving soon, so we're trying to save every penny we can. Currently, only really reading Batman/Detective (tho I might drop Detective til Batman returns) Deadpool/DP: Merc With A Mouth and such. I have a pile of books to catch up on anyways, so I'm not really at a loss for reading material.

Just read Walking Dead Vol. 10. There were some great character moments but this trade seemed to be like a filler for something big to come. Still loved it though.

Grabbed the Maus hardcover, and the first Madame Xanadu trade.

I just read Beta Ray Bill:Godhunter #3 last night and I liked how they tied it into the Stormbreaker mini. Turns out Galactus is the universe's oldest and biggest pimp, as a favor to Bill he created him some puss, from the left over Korbinites in the Stormbreaker mini, nice.

For trades I bought Spider-Man: Brand New Day Vol.1-3 for $27 flat. Still need to get Back in Black and OMD before I can read them, though.

Also, for DC, Batman: Hush (Collected Edition), which is basically the first two combined; Batman: RIP; and Batman: Heart of Hush.

Ordered Scud The Disposable Assassin: The Whole Shebang! for November, pre-ordered The Chill (Vertigo Crime) for January.

I picked up the Bad Girls TPB this week. Hopefully I'll get a chance to read it in the next week.

Instead of going to that Comic and Anime Expo in Tulsa, I went to Starbase 21 and picked up Age of Apocalypse: Featuring the X-Men issue 1, The Rise of Apocalypse issue 2, Anti-Venom: New Ways to Die 1 of 3, Prelud to Blackest Night: Solomon Grundy Black Lantern: Buried on Sunday issue 7 of 7, Outsiders 22, Deadpool: Merc with a mouth issue 3. Yay me.

DP: Merc With a Mouth is such a terrible comic book. I'm afraid this is where Wade's downfall to mediocrity (and worse) begins.

Eh, I think its decent. But I'm weird like that.

yeah, i don't see what it's lasting value is going to be. It should be a mini and then having Headpool as a guest character in the main series or something.
