he should, just to avoid the stupidity that is fox studios. i usually get pissed AFTER seeing the x-movies recently, but i must honestly say this is the first time they've gotten me so boiling i don't even want to bother.

WHy is it so hard to tell the real effin' origin? You it in three parts. The First Five is part one ending with them going off to the island. The second would be all new all different ending with the death of Jean. And the third would be Kitty and the Mutants enter the game. That way they stay close to the books but then still keep it about the younger members.

Kevin Bacon (Mystic River, Apolo 13, Sleepers) has been offered the role of the villain in Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class. Deadline reports that Bacon has yet to sign on for the part and is in talks to come on board the project. Michael Fassbender (Inglourious Basterds, Hunger) is playing Eric Lensherr aka Magneto, but the story is very much an origin story for all the players involved. So which character is Bacon in line to play?
Update: many readers think Bacon might be playing Mr. Sinister

I could totally see Mr. Sinister, but First Class? I'd think Black Tom Cassidy could be up there. I mean, Banshee is his cousin.
I'll also throw Proteus and Legion. And, why not, Xorn and Johnny Sublime. Mixing up modern with oldschool like they are.

Can't get any worse than the first four X-Men films right? X2 was the best followed by most of X3, Then the first part of Wolverine, then X1 then the rest of Wolverine and X3.

i have to disagree, NONE of x-3 was any good, none of it. like i'd almst say the danger room scene was ok, but when you see the sideways flying storm and the fail of a fastball special, it just makes me vomit. wolverine was passible in the weapon x lab scene and the first pre-adamantium logan victor fight, other parts were ok. x-1 was better than to be last on the list, but x-2 was by far the best movie. so on that we agree.

Good parts of X3: Multiple Man, Danger Room (I thought the fastball worked for Jackman's size), Pyro vs. Iceman, Moira, Beast, Kitty and the Jean Grey flashback.

multiple man, kitty, moria, were all underused. multiple man was in like one scene, kitty had the worst dialouge in the movie (which was a waste of ellen page considering) moria was damn near non-existant. beast was imo the only "unspoiled" character in that entire movie, and even he didn't shine as bright because of all the poo flung around him. the pyro iceman fight was ok, but they could have made it more than the ten second "you sould have left school." "you should have stayed." nonsense. x-1 had a convincing senator kelly, a great wolvy fight scene, 2 in fact, toad was underused but awesome, it showed the philosophical differences of professor x and magneto and the extremes each would go to to win out in the "war" in human/mutant relations. x-3 didn't even have a philosophy, it had explosions and misused mutants. i still to this day have arguments about callisto and how she's NOT supposed to have super speed or ridiculous tattoos.

X-Men: Wolverine pops out the claws for the first time, Sabretooth attacks Wolverine and Rogue, the attack on the train station, Magneto kicks Wolverine's butt on the train, Wolverine is introduced to the school, Wolverine accidentally stabs Rogue, the X-Men escape Magneto's "chains", most of the final confrontation, the bullet scene, the interactions between Magneto and Xavier, Mystique.
