I just watched Friday's episode this morning.

Eh...

I loved that we got more VicTopher, but Boyd's demise was a little too neat and tidy for me. Plus, I've said it before, but I'm not digging that the final episode will be set ten years in the future. That reeks of Heroes. Oh, well...it was a good show overall, but I don't see myself digging the finale, though I'll definitely watch.

So I guess Fox aired "Epitaph One" before this episode, right?

Maybe it was because I already made peace with the show ending months ago, but I didn't feel anything for this episode. However, I was shocked that Paul was killed like that (though continuing to "live" in Echo's head and heart). Alpha becoming a better man and aiding the good guys over the years was a nice closure, and I hope he was able to maintain this personality in light of the new reality. Topher final sacrifice was inevitable and heroic. I hope wheelchair Meg will have a good time with that little Asian chick.

Yeah, not showing E1 so that they could get a jump on the latest Gordon Ramsay disaster is kind of a giant fuck you. I can't believe they're letting this go off, but bringing a show about a past life detective anywhere near prime-time.

The series finale was good. I KNEW, I KNEW that Paul was going to die, and I'm pissed that they killed him. However, keeping him alive in Echo's head was interesting.

Topher's sacrifice was sad. He was my favorite character.

Just once I wish that Whedon hadn't done his trademark move of killing off main characters in a finale. Every one of his projects has a major death in the finale. Oh, well.

What is it with Whedon and red headed lesbians? Laughing

I really need to watch Epitaph One. I have the DVD set, but I put off watching it.

I really feel like this episode is useless without Epitaph One. They should've done it in 2 hours for both of them.

Is it just me, or does Zone look like Scott Farkas from A Christmas Story?

That *would* explain it, and it's pretty boss to boot.

There was a kid at the college I used to work at that I kept asking if he was Scott Farkas, and he had no idea what I was talking about. It amused me greatly.

It brought closure for me. Fox should of aired Epitah One for those that didn't see it because it would of made the "previously on dollhouse" segment in the begining of the episode make a bit more sense.

Not showing Epitaph 1 on air before was criminal, and probably promoted a lot of internet piracy. I was glad that it showed the previously, because I put of watching the episode until I could watch the EXCLUSIVE DVD SET UNAIRED EPPISODE! The aired it in Europe though..

This series had so much potential, all of the reveals would have meant so much more if Whedon had enough time to tell the story his way. He only worked with Fox on this show because Dushku has a three show contract or something with Fox and he wanted to work with her. I think they could have told so many stories and actually filled in the gap of time with seasons. The really rushed everything when they knew the plug was going to be pulled. I do have to admit that I have some new people to list under good actors in my mind because of this show. The guy that played topher was phenomenal this entire series as was Victor. We new everyone was going to die, but it sometimes felt hollow because 1, you expected it. 2, there wasn't enough character development for the most part. 5 seasons and it ending like this, I probably would have cried... but a hurry up and end it so Fox can't screw me like they tried to do with Firefly, doesn't get a sniffle.

I netflixed epitaph 1 and included was the unaired pilot episode which consisted of different variations of scenes that were included throughout season 1. I guess they were scattered since Fox decided to be a dick. I wonder what kind of stupid reality show Fox is going to decide to put in Dollhouse's place.

Alright, finally made it through and only have the last episode to go. Question is, do I need to watch the first part? Also, without giving too much away, what was Saunders-Whiskey's deal with Topher? Felt like that never really got explained so far. We'll most likely watch the JSA episode of Smallville before we watch the end of Dollhouse though.
