Jonah Hex is an upcoming Western film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. Under Warner Bros., the film is directed by Jimmy Hayward and stars Josh Brolin as the title character, Jonah Hex, and also stars John Malkovich, Michael Fassbender and Megan Fox. The film is scheduled to be released on June 18, 2010. Its trailer will appear with A Nightmare on Elm Street.

This looks pretty cool, I can't wait for the trailer!

I have a feeling this one will go the way of Fantastic Four, Ghost Rider, etc. I'm not so sure about it.

^ I'm leaning that way, but I don't know. Brolin's great, and so is Malkovich. Not sure if Megan Fox's awful can stop their screen-stealing.

The Fantastic Four films I let pass, because they're supposed to be wholesome and such.

I talked to Jimmy Palmiotti over the weekend and he said that while in some parts its faithful to the comic series, it's also doing things to appeal to a mainstream audience. I remain cautiously optimistic.

Yea, when a writer says that, it may be their way of adhering to the studios want of him to say things like that. That, and it is his creation, he wants to say good things about it.

And I'm pretty sure I saw Jonah Hex movie version action figures in one of the recent Previews... but there's still no trailer (or even a teaser) less than two months before the supposed release. So I don't know what's going on here.

I am hoping this turn out well. Even though I like Megan her acting skills leave a lot to be desired.

Well I at least like the figures so far. I wonder if Matty will also do a DCU Hex figure, that would have been a nice DCU con exclusive.

See, I dislike Megan Fox. I don't think she's proven herself as an actress and people drool over her because she's way outspoken in interviews and knows how to sell herself. I think she's overrated. I hope this movie is good because I like Jonah Hex as a character but I got a bad feeling about this.

I noticed that as well. Weird. It was the first thing that came up when I searched "Jonah Hex Movie". I wonder if there is not even an official website now.

jesus, after looking at those two websites I am now amazed they even have an official poster! (which does look good in my opinion) Unfortunitly i am getting a "Ghost Rider" vibe from the synopsis

I will probably still see it, if nothing else I will know what I am bitching about.

Now that you mention I did get that kind of vibe. Josh Brolin has always been a little hit and miss with me at times.
