6 in. Marvel Universe figures Debut at Comic Con

Hasbro's Marvel Legends Return (Kind of)
Like a lot of fans who chased more than a dozen waves of ToyBiz's (and later Hasbro's) 6" Marvel Legends action figure line throughout the 2000s, I finally caved and came to accept the much smaller, but far more affordable 3.75" Marvel Universe that's effectively replaced it. I didn't even get overly excited when Hasbro offered a line of 6" Marvel Legends-style "Iron Man 2" action figures. New photos from Hasbro's Comic-Con booth at Toy News International could change all that, though.

No, they're not called "Marvel Legends," but Hasbro's upcoming Marvel Universe 6" Fan's Favorite toys with a scheduled debut in October. The Legends-like 2-packs look to include Black Widow and the Winter Soldier, Deadpool and Warpath, and the Hulk and Valkyrie. BW and WS, along with DP and WP seem to have variant versions as well.

With a list price of $19.99 per two-pack, the 6" line may even stand a chance against their shorter counterparts at retail.

I haven't bought a Marvel figure in a long time, but I want that Winter Soldier/Black Widow two pack.

1. I just may get all three of these, despite already having a Hulk.

2. They're absolutely called "Marvel Legends."

Winter Soldier, Black Widow, Warpath, and Valkyrie look good, but I'm not crazy about that Hulk and Deadpool. Too bad they're not being sold individually.

I just want that Deadpool. I dunno if I'll keep Warpath, he'll probably just be laying around. I'll see. The Hulk looks cool but I already have the MS Hulk.

I'd be willing to go in half for the Warpath. I don't have any desire for Deadpool.

Yes, they ARE Legends. You can actually see it in the picture you posted, CGK.

But yeah, the Black Widow/Winter Soldier set is the only one I need. Valkyrie looks too cartoonish, and there are MUCH better solutions to building an X-Force team. Namely, Marvel Universe and Marvel Minimates.

Oh yeah, they are Legends. Well the site I got the story from missed that too.

Valkyrie isn't great, but landing her would complete my Secret Avengers team. Sold.

i am not sure if you heard but they said at SDCC that in 2012 marvel legends are coming back in full force

I just want both DP's so I will gladly split warpaths with anybody. Isn't the marvel select DP due out soon?

Those look cool, too bad they are so big though. I hate large figures, 3.75 is the best size. Oh and is that blue and yellow (X-Men?) Deadpool from a story?

Yeah, they've done that Deadpool once or twice now. I don't want him, but I'm impressed they're actually bothering to make that figure.

HxS... I might be down for the red and blue "Uncanny" Warpath. He'd give Marvel Girl some company as my only representative of that era.

You don't have that Cyclops?

While I have "Astonishing" Cyclops, he was never really in a book with Rachel. She and Warpath were on a team with Polaris, Havok, Darwin, Nightcrawler, and Xavier. Darwin and Polaris have never been made, while Havok, Nightcrawler, and Xavier would all be the wrong versions.

I guess I should have said "book" instead of "era."

Anybody know when these are coming out?

I definitely want the Warpath. I eventually want to have the entire Messiah War/Necrosha X-force team. That Black Widow body would make a great Domino.
