A man in white with glasses strolls across the White House lawn as shadows flit about him, intermingling with the smoke coming from the historic building now in disarray to match the chaos of the world. For six months, the Darklings (denizens of the Dark Matter realm) have gone to war on the multiverse, lead by the last remnant of the Doom Lord's army in his lover and general the Surgeon, a psionic without parallel and genius beyond measure. Known to wield a seeming endless supply of scalpels, the rogue takes his name from his ability to peel away the sanity of his enemies as a surgeon takes apart the human body.
Opposing him are what remains of the Time Investigation Team (or T.I.T.), dwindling from attrition as the Surgeon has played with them as pawn pieces on a chess board. One man claimed to kill this nightmare adorned in white, but the black clad swordsman named Reaper mysteriously disappeared after the demise of the Iscariot, a living time anomaly that threatened existence as it is known and yet known. Watching family, dear friends, and the only woman he ever truly loved die before his eyes, he swore to avenge them on the Doom Lord and slay the villain's lover after the Surgeon completely and utterly defeated the man in black in single combat.
Having lost faith in T.I.T., the Reaper made a deal with the devil in his future self, despot of the past, present, and future draped in crimson robes and bandaged all over his body referred now as the Time Trapper. Using the DNA and tools of the greatest warriors in history, the Legend, a group of super beings, were created as a personal strike force and in time teachers for Reaper to fulfill his promise. However, the hero overwrought by the loss of his love Mindy Monday and wracked with humiliation over her disappointment in him when she returned to life, his vows amounted to nothing as the Doom Lord was slain by Orpheus in the body of Lazer Lion and whose sword Mucro of Vices defeated the Iscariot.
Believing himself to be the hero but reduced to an impotent observer, he wallowed in self pity. That is, until the Major Arcana kidnapped him to transform him into the representation of Death. What has become of him since is unknown. However, where he is now is here.
A black boot scrapes against the ground, a wisp of dirt arising as two slashes sounding barely audible shatters the queer silence of anarchy. The Surgeon turns, a small glitter erupting from his glasses as they catch the sun.
“Always a dark cloud on my sunny day. Where've you been, boy toy?”
Earth 9
The pop compound , a small town home to a group of people who are unashamed geeks. After being cast out of a world who hates geeks they settled down into their own little town cut off from the rest of the world. Aside from several attacks by comic book companies trying to use the town for their own uses oh and that attack from the crazy frank n ferter version of the towns head librarian Dave everything is nice and peaceful….that ends today….
Coyote douglys, A bar which promises good beer and wild sexual acts with the partner of your choice! Open seven days a week with male and female strippers on alternating days it is a good place to unwind from a hard day at work. Sitting at a table was the towns spy network, They kept the town on their toes against anything that was threatening its peace. Recent events however have playing on the minds of the three brave souls sitting at the bar.
“I can’t believe those bastards blanked us!” shouted frozen angrily slamming his fist on the tables.
“come on man we just worked on your dex troubles don’t bring that back up!” muttered Sarah Saturday drinking some orange juice from a cup.
“she’s right its not as if they haven’t tried to cover their asses by giving us free drinks, food and comics for the rest of our lives,” muttered Tc
“They are not giving us free porn though that pisses me right off,” muttered the bag which hung at tics waist.
“Gary what do you want porn for?….you’re a bag,” asked Frozen
“I like watching it….” moaned Gary
Suddenly there was a white light as reality began to tear itself apart and a small hole opened up. Out of the hole appeared a rather familiar looking man.
“Davey?” asked Sarah
The man looked at the woman for a second and then muttered “do I know you?….you look kinda familiar,”
Just at this moment Dave walked into Douglys and not even paying attention to the stranger who looked like him, went over to Sarah and sat next to her. He gave her a small kiss on the cheek and then he noticed the stranger.
“uh who are you?” asked Dave
“My name is David page and I need help….”
“you certainly do if you think you are David page,” sniggered Dave
“hon. I think he is you…” muttered Sarah
“not another one,” moaned Frozen
“yeah we just got rid of an evil version of you….surely there’s not another one?”
“I take it you’ve met the doom lord then….” said the other Dave
“oh we met, used me to hurt and torture my friends….good times,” muttered Dave sarcastically
“sounds like him alright….damn Orpheus was supposed to have killed him,” muttered Dave angrily and then he said “I’m getting sidetracked here, I need your help Tc, frozen and Gary,”
“us what for?” asked Tc
“We are kind of short staffed at the moment and the world is kid of coming to an end….”
“why us though,” muttered Tc this time running out of patience
“because you three do not have counterparts in my world and you are the best of the best on this world,”
“what really?” muttered Tc sceptical at this remark
“I’ll go!” muttered Frozen
“come on man….I know you are still annoyed at the dex issue but he’s a stranger!”
“I don’t care TC, he said something bad is happening in his world….how long will it be until this bad thing spreads to our world. It happened before with the doom lord and it could happen again,”
“well when you put it like that….” muttered Tc grabbing Gary and fastening him to her waist.
“Oh joy!” moaned Gary
“excellent I shall open a multi-dimensional interface to get us to my world,”
The portal opened and it began to swallow up Dave and Tc and Frozen and then they were gone.
“Will they be okay?” asked Sarah quietly to her Dave
“They should be….right?”
“yeah its not as if we won’t ever see them again….they will be back right?”
The two of them sat in an uncomfortable silence for a moment and then Dave shouted over to Doug “Hey Doug two large Ojs please!”
