In all the Previews for upcoming months there's absolutely no sign of Batwoman in Detective Comics (the reason why I've dropped this) and I thought the Renee backup was finished either this month or next at the latest.BlueMaxx wrote:^ I did really like that. Since the Renee backstory is ending, I dropped it. Bedard doesn't seem bad, but I just wanna have room for other things.
I'm still confused. DCComics.com's summaries are saying Batwoman and Renee will be there after skipping a month, but the news for the Batwoman ongoing is throwing me. IDK.
BlueMaxx wrote:^ The current story did end, I just wasn't solid as to if there was another arc. I'm assuming that it is.
Ooh that's interesting. Wonder where this story will continue? It's all been so tied to Rucka it's a shame he won't be the one to finish it (I imagine someone else will pick it up at some point).BlueMaxx wrote:^ You sure you want me to tell you?
- Spoiler:
It dragged out the last two backstories with Renee and Helena against Vandal Savage imbued with the Mark of Cain. He gave them an ultimatum of one of them taking the mark from him or death to both. (Again, dragged out in a linear way to who would take the mark so that he'd leave them in peace, so you didn't really miss much.) Anyways, Helena was about to take it via having to drink from a grail of sorts--for some unexplained reason that Vandal Cain didn't give--and was knocked out of her hands by an awake Renee, who was previously taken down by Helena. Renee takes a torch off the wall and sets the Crime Bible ablaze. During the tussle, Vandal's mark began to fade, and we see a small panel with some sparkling where Vandal and Renee make contact by their arms as Vandal rushes past her in his relief of ridding of it.
As they walk out of their, Huntress isn't convinced the Mark of Cain just faded on its own and asks Renee to take off her "faceless" mask, with Renee saying something to the effect of, "Maybe later." Montoya walks off. Fin.

Yeah, I'd MUCH prefer it if that were the case. If they made it the future of DC proper they'd have to change a lot. I'd just prefer it if they kept it as it and made it another Earth's future.

I simply thought it was a different Earth because I thought Batman Beyond followed the "Animated" Universe which I thought was a different Earth.
