I enjoyed the main story, but something about the backup made me really like it.

Wolverine #1

Definitely lives up to the hype. Enjoying Aaron's new baddies that remind me of Morrison's Circus of Villains...def oddball and unique. Didn't think anyone would top Garney in terms of Wolvie art but Guedes def steps it up. Nice to see Will.I.Am in a comic too Smile I didn't get the back-up I will have to read it again.

Daken: Dark Wolverine was a great first issue in my opinion. Though it wasn't teeming with action or plot, there was plenty of great characterization that Way and Liu have been giving Daken for the past two years. It reminds me of what Joe Kelly did for Deadpool. I hope the artist stays with the title for a while as well.

I'm glad they are weaving Mystique into the storyline. And what about that phone conversation with the Human Torch? How ambiguous was that? Once again, Liu brings the right amount of mystery and intrigue while giving the reader something to chew on. If X-23 is as good as this, I'll definitely be picking it up

Thats what I thought of the issue, I wasn't a huge fan of the art at first bet after reading it again it grew on me. The conversation with Johnny Storm was weird to me, I would think that his identity is public so why would they be talking made me wonder if it was real or a coded conversation. I am liking the tie in tot he Wolverine book with the group of people that want Logan dead, going to keep reading it for at least the first arc.

Wolverine #2 was damn good. I really liked both the main story and the back-up. Jason Aaron's quickly becoming one of my favorite writers.

#2 was better then #1 for me, I am starting to get into the book, but it has not done enough to make me a montly reader, but there is still time in this arc

#3 was great. Spitting on Satan is classic Logan. Any regular X-Book readers know who that woman was playing chess with Rogue? (I'm only up through Utopia, so if it's someone who's debuted since then that's why I don't recognize her.) It's not Mercury, unless Cessily can alter her appearance now. I'm stumped. Anyway, next issue's Hellverine/Colossus smackdown should be awesome.

#5.1 was a near-perfect Wolverine comic. Brutal & funny, Aaron's hitting on all cylinders. The Deadpool bits were great, as were Cage and Beast & Iceman. Looking forward to seeing more of the Buzzard Brothers, too.
