Fantasy baseball anyone??

I tried to get a baseball league going last year, and didn't get enough people.(or for basketball)

There is like a month before the season starts, so plz if interested post here.

Depends on the league style and roster change schedule. I prefer a limit on innings pitched for the season and games played by each position to 162 w/roster changes once a week.

I've never done a a fantasy _insert_sport_here_ before, so it may be more of an annoyance to include me since I'd be learning as I went, but I'd be down for it.

Join anyway if it is done Josh. It's just for fun, no one should get annoyed

If we get enough people, I don't want to start out this year with game limits, or IP limits, as that can get frustrating for people just strating out. There definitely would be a Minimum for IP, so we don;t get that malarkey.


If we can get 4 more people, I will start the league up.

Still even with new people, having weekly roster change instead of daily is a lot better to ease people into it and to be more convenient for a lot of people.

Yeah I could do the weekly roster changes but the limits on games is something you would have to convince me on.

weekly roster changes would put some sort of limits to the game itself. Your not going to have all five of your pitchers pitch in a given week, just like your starters might not play every game that week.

with about 6 bench spots is about the norm 25 man roster.

Weekly changes would balance the season a bit more if you don't want to do the game restriction. Restrictions= more strategy overall. But Weekly changes you shouldn't end up with 190 games played by a catcher on the team, so I won't try to sell you on the restrictions especially if we have a lot of 1st timers and cassual players.

I want to encourage everybody to play, the more people that play the more fun and balanced it is.

okay, it's time to make this league and just force people to play. Or I can invite some Hiss tankers and split it into two divisions. But time is awastin for organing draft picks and such. So if someone doesn't make this by monday. I will. I'll use Yahoo just like the football one and use standard scoring and weekly roster changes.

Yeah, I'll go ahead and set it up tomorrow night. I definitely figure head to head. Not a huge Roto fan.

okay, let me know after we have a peaople if we would like to invite some hisstankers to compete against us. I figure if we can get at least 6-8 on our side getting them to match wouldn't be hard, and it would make the overall season better, especially for h2h.

Weeekly roster changes, and I used the Roster you posted Hrdwrkng. Scoring is a little different, but should be fair and balanced.

Here's the scoring:

Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Sacrifice Hits (SH), Sacrifice Flys (SF), Stolen Bases (SB), Caught Stealing (CS), Walks (BB), Strikeouts (K), Ground Into Double Play (GIDP), Errors (E), Batting Average (AVG), On-base Percentage (OBP)
Pitchers Stat Categories: Wins (W), Losses (L), Complete Games (CG), Shutouts (SHO), Saves (SV), Intentional Walks (IBB), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), No Hitters (NH), Perfect Games (PG)


I set the team max for twenty so Invite who you want from HISS. Should be fun. Any of the guys that have never played before, I'd be happy to help you out.

What are the scoring settings for points? I tried to find them and couldn't. I found what stats were tracked but not the value. It is hard to set draft priorities without knowing. You can post them here maybe?
