I'm going to make it a point to watch more hockey this year. I enjoy it but it's not really a TV sport. MUCH better live. I was more into hockey pre strike.

Nucks home opener spoiled by the Kings last night Sad Both teams wearibg retro 70's uniforms was cool though. Especially because they didn't have their names on the back. Stick that up your ass Bettman.

This game was a classic example of good teams find a way to win when they play poorly , and bad teams find a way to lose even when they play well... Vancouver's defence handled the puck in their own zone like it was a live grenade , avoided the slot in front of their own net like it was the dentists office , and if they backed in any more on Toronto rushes they would have hit the boards with their butts.... the Sedins despite again getting 2 points each looked frustrated and were a defensive liability tonight. Luongo... what an enigmatic performance... thought he looked bad on all 3 goals but was spectacular on about a dozen close in opportunities. GA is above 2.5 as a team... too high for a team of this calibre.

Canucks are now 1st in the NHL (with games in hand on Pens & Wings), are 13-1-2 in their last 16 games, first in NHL on PP, Luongo is 11-1-1 in his last 13, and they beat the Avs 4 straight so far this season.

Fuck Yeah!

Canucks 4 Sharks 3

I don't know what was more impressive, the win which came at the end of a road trip, or 47 shots on net against a tough Sharks team in their own building? 21 shots on net in the 3rd period alone when they were supose to be tired. Look its obvious I'm a Canucks fan, but how did the Sharks allow a team, which was playing their last game of a road trip, to out work them by that much in the 3rd period in their own building?

So where's the Hawks fan that started this thread? She was such a die hard hockey fan when her team was winning, now that they suck she's no where to be found? big grin

Frustrating to watch the Capitals this year. I have seen them lose so many times in OT its not funny. They just can't seal the deal. They really need a good second line center. Johansen is decent but he is still young and has a lot to learn. Wish they would have kept Alexander Giroux on their minor league team and called him up to the Capitals main roster. That guy lights up the AHL every season and I can't see why he never gets called up to the main roster.

My Bruins are doing very well this season...Mostly due to the fact that Thomas is a BEAST! They are going to announce that Savard will be shut down for the season. I hope he can get healthy and be back to form next season...He just started to start to look great again too.

Not a great game against the Sharks on Saturday...Hopefully we can bounce back against MTL on Wends.

We're going to smack Montreal pretty handily, I think.

Plus, only 2 points up in the NE means we kind of need it.

If the Bruins want to go far in the playoffs they'll need to make sure Bergeron, Marchand and Recchi are healthy. They'll also need other guys stepping up as well.

The machine just keeps rolling. The Sens can lament the three goalposts all they want, but the Canucks also had near misses, but the good teams play through and win anyway. Nine points clear of Detroit, four clear of Philly, the Flames are back in the hunt, and even the Oil and Toronto won today, it's all good. Go Canucks!
