The truth is you have to give yourself time to grieve over an ended relationship. If you need to have a pity party for yourself or cry until you can't cry anymore then do it. Get it all out of your system. Once you feel like you have gained some control of the past relationship re-evaluate it and decide what you want and don't want in your next relationship.

The last day or two, just cant seem to get her out of my head. and i am trying to move on. on top of trying out another dating website, im also talking to one or two ladies in my local area. so i am trying. just...been having a rough day or two.

Contrary to popular belief, there is nothing wrong with not being in a relationship. Yes, I totally get what you are saying. It is very hard to get over someone that you thought was good for you. Yes, you could jump into other dating sites-- but I recommend you take some time to learn more about yourself and let things flow naturally. Look at generations before us. Did they have match.com? (nope. And I find those old couples adorable.)

The best time not to look for relationships is when you are not looking, yeah that's cliche, but so what, it is kind of true. But you can ignore me because I am a dude giving advice in a thread where girls are really the advice givers, so basically you can either listen to me or ignore me but know this:

Regardless of whether you are looking or not, always whip it out.

Truth.

I should amend/elaborate on my previous statement. When I say the best way to get over heartache is to meet someone (and I should have said second best, because the number one cure is time), I should have clarified that I don't necessarily mean jumping into another relationship, but just that heartache tends to go away when you're mentally ready to meet new people. Jumping into a relationship with anyone who is willing as an effort to forget a previous lover is pretty much a recipe for disaster.

I know this is more of the ladies answering your questions, but one thing I would really like to point out and I think all the ladies will agree with me on this one. In each relationship, EVER SINGLE ONE, you have to "sacrafice" or "put up with" some thing you don't like. Even if a fanboy meets a fangril and they fall inlove, they are not going to agree with everything. You might have to give up watching a show for one night to spend some alone time. If you move in together, get some boxes ready, you will have to pack up stuff ans shelf it. It's not a drastice change and it's not a big deal at all. Just saying for all those newbies out there.

He's right. Even living with a nerd like I do there's still adjustments to make. Like we sometimes fight over who get's to play the Xbox, or who used the last of the comic book sleeves.

Anytime you get two people together in the same small space there's going to be adjustments that need to be made.

i've started talking to this new girl, who i shall call 'L'. and she's pretty cool. I like her, and nothing is really official or anything, but yeah. I'm moving on from my ex, the one who had me all depressed and stuff, ill call her 'S'. About a week ago, after not talking for a month or so, S starts talking to me again. Telling me she still wants to be friends and she's sorry for the way things ended between us. Last night we talked on the phone, she told me about her new boyfriend and how things might not last between the two of them. She's unsure about whether she should be in a relationship or not because she's not sure of what she wants, and they bicker all the time. And S is the only person i've talked to for the last four or five days, because L doesn't have any minutes on her phone. S's boyfriend doesn't have a phone either, so we've been talking to eachother alot. And the thing is, i really like L. I don't want to mess things up with her, but all this talking to S has got me really confused and a little hurt because all these old feelings keep coming up. I don't think im going to go back to S so long as im talking to L. But i might, if things between L and I don't work out. IDk. this is alot for one guy to handle. Any advice ladies?

The girl is messed up. She doesn't know what she wants, when this new guy didn't turn out to be "Prince Charming" she decided that maybe she should go back to the one she knows.

Move on, she's not worth it.
