The way I see it Spade and Marlowe, as written, would both be jockying for the spot as the team leader, while trying to out badass each other. Wolfe would assume the role naturally, being the wealthy detective who brought the group together to solve a series of child murders (think M, or see it if you haven't). Drew would be, in my mind, in her early 20s having just finished at university (like where Veronica Mars would be if the show had not been cancelled). Lockwood and Seldon are successful entertainers who get wrapped up in the case completely by accident but end up becoming part of the dastardly game the killer is playing with the detectives.

In fact, I am off to write this...

your people are all over the place time wise man. And how possibly can anyone else exist in the terror planet universe? Try to pick people alive around the same time, and who's stories can blend somewhat. At least, that's my criteria.

On my literary team of course, when you have a time machine, all of that is irrelevant.

Cheating and being lazy? You bet.

Movie-wise? I think when you put the divine and aliens into a world (Indiana Jones), Cherry running away (or whatever it is she does) and starting her life over can be meshed somehow. Though I would love to see Indiana take on the undead with Ash. I think it's too cool to define logic or reason.

Plus Indiana drank from the Grail, so homeboy does get to live forever.

If you say so. I've never seen an Indian movie all the way through.

I think you have to remain there. Drinking from the glass or pouring it onto a wound, like with Indie's dad, will heal and revitalize, but, like The Crusader, you have to remain in the crypt, drinking from The Grail, I imagine, over and over. That's why the Knight wouldn't cross "the seal".
