I quite liked this. It wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was good. I do wish there had been a little more action, but as is it was still satisfying. It was a more intimate story that I thought it would be. It really seemed like a series finale, and not a season finale.
Yeah, that ending really generated a few questions.
I can't wait until next season.

- When they killed Cass and then Bobby I was sitting there praying they'd be revived. I'm glad they were. I just hope that both of them return next season. I'm wondering if Bobby will since Chuck's narration said they wouldn't see each other for a very long time.
It was weird. Dean wasn't too upset when Cass blew up, but he was really upset when Bobby was killed. I know Bobby means more to him then Cass, but still.
I wish that we'd seen Crowley. I hope we see him again next year. Is Bobby still in a contract with him? He died, and was brought back, does that void the deal?

- I'm not sure. It sorta seemed a little like that, but I don't know. It would make all the previous appearances of him seem weird, as well as the future that was seen. I'm wondering if he disappeared because he was the prophet for the Winchester brothers' story, and from all appearances, their story was over, so his job was done as well. - I'm thinking that maybe it was really Sam and maybe he was checking up on Dean to make sure that he finally has the life that they both missed out on. I suspect next season Dean will find out that his brother is alive and go searching for him.

- The author is not God he is a Prophet chosen by God to tell the Winchester Brothers story. The episode with the Winchester convention explains it and it is a hilarious episode.

- I personally think God pulled both Lucifier and Michael out of the pit. God is not going to leave an Angel down there. I think Sam is still Lucifier because there still needs to be a showdown. I thought Dean gave up way to easy at the end. I thought he would do more to get Sam back. Some say that Crowley maybe God but I don't think so but I could be wrong. I am glad Cass came back I know a lot of people weren't happy that Bobby came back. I was hoping for a little bit more from the finale but it was still pretty decent.

- Yes, I did see the con episode about the prophet, which was fantastic. But come on now this is Supernatural, the ol' switcharoo is nothing new to this show. He could have been replaced, by God, of all people. I didn't seem off that at the end he just faded away? I don't Crowley is God only because he's the crossroads demon and he still has a contract with Bobby, I presume.

- I thought it was a good episode. I heard somewhere that this is the end of this Winchester story and that Season 6 was going to be a "reboot" of the franchise "Ultimates" style. Not sure if this is true or not. It did seem like they could go either way. I think Sam could be a guardian angel of sorts, watching over Dean and his new family.

^That's a great article and after reading some of the other articles it's pretty apparent that Chuck is God. I think Sam's reward for sacrificing himself was to get his life back but I think he wants Dean to have a normal life with the woman he loves.

For season 6 I guess the big question is will they carry on from season 5 finale (where the brothers have stopped/lived through the apocalypse) or will we start again from a previous point in time? I mean, it would be pretty tough to go back to hunting mere ghosts and whatever after facing down the Devil himself, no? And if they do start over from another point in time, how far back do we go? Do we start at the VERY beginning or is there a pivotal moment in which the Winchesters made a choice that put them in the path toward the apocalypse and now we're gonna see the alternative?
