Black Friday = the day after Thanksgiving in the retail world. Almost all stores slash their prices on various items for that one day. Sales start anywhere from midnight to 6am, and usually only last a few hours. No longer than 11am. Some people go absolutely berserk, while others go and buy certain items, only to turn around and resell them on places like eBay.

Black Friday is the day that I shut myself in the house, pull my curtains shut, and watch movies all day while eating leftovers from Thanksgiving.

I love Black Friday the only time of the year I am willing to get up at 5 a.m. I have checked out the leaked Target ad. My husband wants the 37 inch flat panel and I want gossip girl season 2 on dvd.

5am???? Thats to late. When I got my HDTV from Best Buy 2 years ago I got there at 7pm the night before. And it was worth it.

Might have to do it again this year to since they have a blu-ray capable laptop on sale for under 500 this year.

Target is going to sell $3 toasters. I will use this chance to buy a crap load of toasters and open up my new store: Toasters! Toasters! Toasters!

I don't I've ever been shopping on Black Friday. Too much of a hassle. Plus, a good few of the deals hold still days after.

Where's your sense of adventure? It's like the running of the bulls; sure, you may get trampled and killed, but you can also buy cheap shit.

^ As a kid with my parents. It sucks. I've worked in a bad area during black friday. Just the traffic through the parking lots was 2 hours, let alone the highway outside. Screw a bunch o'that.

I was being, what I thought was fairly obvious, facetious. Let the unwashed masses claw at each other to save some money. I'll do my shopping on Amazon hassle-free.

We don't get a Black Friday here. I hate you all.

Also the term Black friday is a retail term because it is usually the turning point in the fiscal year where retailers are out of the red and move into the profit zone (black) for the year.

Here at best buy they hand out vouchers for the items starting with the first person in line for the stuff they have limited quantities of like the computers you save $300 on and TV's. What I do is camp out starting Wednesday in shifts with my friends through thanksgiving, then we get the vouchers and sell them to people in line that weren't going to get one anyway because there were only 6 or 7 to begin with. Somebody will give you $5 -15 to save $50, $25-50 to save $100 and for the big deals we have gotten as much as $150 for the vouchers. We get about $700 to split between the 3 of us and then we keep the vouchers we plan on using and buy our stuff with that money and get the cheap dvd's and stuff, then we go to target and get stuff there, then we meet the other friend at TRU and give him money for things he picked up for us, then we go hit walmart for their $2 dvd's and other cheap stuff.

This year I will definately be glad I waited to get ODST, Dragon Age, and L4D2. picking them up at $30 -$35 is much better than normal.

On top of all this to not wait in line we find the first person close to the front of the line with a bunch of TV's and crap and we offer to use our ID's to help them get their purchase Tax free. That way we don't have to wait in line all day as well.

I love black friday, christmas shopping for free + profit. Let it be known though that I don't resell stuff on ebay or scalp toys ever. but i will have my Collectors Alliance list with me in all stores I love Capitalism.
