Hastings to Sell Comics?

So I have no idea what a Hastings is but it looks like the old Media Plays we had here in Ohio. Well they are going to venture into the comic book realm. Not a bad idea, but to be honest what will this do to LCS?

The closest to me is in Richmond Indiana. Well I will not be driving that far, on the way from Cbus to Richmond, I could hit about a half a dozen stores in columbus, then a bunch in Dayton.....

I don't know why this is news, honestly. Every Hastings I've ever been in sells comics already.

oh my bad.... i never been to hastings, and to be honest didnt know what they were.... ... just trying to be helpful??

I had never heard of them and thought it was news-worthy.

It's not like you were running the story. No big deal. I'm just wondering why this is a big thing. I guess maybe they were independent or something because I've always seen comics in these things.

I always love articles like this where they talk about some regional chain as if it's a Best Buy or Burger King and not some place that most people have never even heard of.

haha i know i figured i was just saying my b, as in not news to all but news to some.... but a suncoast and a blockbuster? awesome... but again around here I have not seen a suncoast in a while, they have all become FYEs.....

Yea no doubt, the editors forget to mention that most of us have not heard of it?

It's not that we didn't think everybody had heard of them, I haven't, it's just something I put up at 12:30 at night because I couldn't have done it sooner. Pretty short piece.

I live in Georgia. We have FYE's, used to have a Media Play, but I've never seen a Hasting's.

We concentrated more on the fact on the notion of LCS vs this type of store vs DCBS.

1.) As far as I know, Hastings already sells comics.
2.) Nothing will happen to local comic shops.
