I disagree with the Scott Pilgrim comments. I think it was the fact that a shit ton of free passes were given out and they had hoped people would spread the word. womp womp. Though I do agree, we have some good times ahead of us. Though that is the same situation with a live action anime movie, it's a very narrow, niche market that past mistakes like DBZ and such have basically scared hollywood away.

If by narrow you mean not that much merchandise out, yeah. But I know shit ton of people who read that. Though, I will agree, while Cera personified Scott, he has an aura that turns off some people. He's the Anthony Michael Hall of this generation and LOOK what that guy turned into.

I don't mean merchandise I mean the audience was mainly for teenage gamer boys. I mean the movie got a lot of good word of mouth but what I heard on the boards from other people are I would really like to see it but Cera really turns me off or I don't like him or I will wait for video.

As for the Scott Pilgrim movie, I just don't think it reached into its demographic like it could of, with advertisement and word-of-mouth could of been stronger. Teenage gamer boys actually wasn't the demographic. Course, to those that don't know what it's about, that may have exactly what it came off as. So, that assessment kind of shows why it may have flopped.

I still havent seen it and i really wanted to.. though after watching year one i dunno... >.>

For next weeks PrincessCast, this question is for Spaced. What does Spaced think about John Landis's Burke and Hare? Simon Pegg as William Burke, Andy Serkis as William Hare, and Tom Wilkinson as Dr. Knox. Now originally I think David Tennant was going to be William Hare but that was when the cast was not yet set in stone yet.

Neither have I. And yea, Year One was very unfunny. It was a neat idea, had a great cast of comedians, just didn't work out.

Not a Michael Cera fan, though I still want to see it. Badly. Nov. 9th!

I like Stuart Gordon and Tobe Hooper also but they aren't my favorite directors. You did name one Dario Argento.

Check out Girly, don't let the cover fool you. There is minimal violence but the sadistic stuff is in the games they play. It's worth a watch.
